Pickford P T A The Pickford PTA supports, Pickford Public School, through academic support programs & advocacy for the teachers, as well as fundraising for the community!

Pickford PTA supports parent involvement in education by being an advocacy group that supports parents, students, and staff. According to MDOE, parent involvement fosters an environment for better student achievement. We want to observe, inspire change, (leahbergstrome.com) and work toward school improvement; and to accomplish that, in part, we want to help provide parents with necessary informati

on. We want to create bridges between parents and between parents and the school so that parents' concerns will be considered in decision making (*Standard V). Please join us for the Open House / Opportunity Fair on August 27th from 5-8pm! There will be a lot going on around the building from student orientations, school supply drive, dual enrollment device pickup, business and community representatives, food trucks, and more. We hope to see you there!

Join us at our back-to-school fair event!

You & your child will have wonderful opportunities, to learn about organizations & clubs in our area!
Also, no need to cook! We will have some fantastic food vendors at this event!

nothing like a little friendly competition!

Attendance Matters!

Too many absences can make learning hard and cause students to fall behind. Chronic absence - missing 10 percent of the school year, or just 2-3 days every month - can lead to lower grades and test scores. It is also related to lower reading and math skills, and high school graduation rates.

To increase our student attendance, in 2026-2027 we are introducing the ATTENDANCE CUP.

Rudyard Area Schools and Pickford Public Schools will be competing monthly for daily attendance. The school with the best attendance will win monthly rewards that will culminate with one school being awarded the ATTENDANCE CUP WINNER!

This year-long competition is designed to be competitive, fun, and promote daily student attendance. It will also result in the administrators from the two districts having to participate in some silly rewards for their schools.

Stay tuned for more details and parents, start planning now to make sure your children are in attendance as much as possible for the 2026-2027 school year!
