Emerald Ash Borer devastates the ash trees in the upstate. Infested firewood is a common method of transportation. DON’T MOVE FIREWOOD. This prevention measure helps to decrease the spread and infection of wood-boarding pests.

South Carolina Master Naturalists had an amazing year! Our fiscal year came to a close on June 30th. 410 SC Master Naturalists recorded 28,231 Volunteer Hours in our Database, which has an estimated impact of $922,871.39 (based on the Independent Sector’s $32.69/hr valuation for SC in 2026)!!

In addition, they reached 95,935 people through education and outreach efforts.
