⚡️ Day 46 at Pickens Middle was full of celebrations, hands-on learning, and opportunities to connect! Our Sparks continue to make every day special with Moments That Ignite! ❤️💙
✨ Today, we hosted our very first Dreamers Celebration! Teachers selected students for this recognition based on their strong effort and kindness in the classroom! We love creating opportunities to celebrate our students!
🎩🍧 Thank you to our amazing PTO for coordinating today’s Kona Ice and Hat Day! Our Sparks enjoyed a little extra fun during the school day!
🏐 While we were outside enjoying recess, Mrs. Fowler was spotted playing volleyball with our 8th graders! We love seeing our teachers building relationships with students and joining in on the fun!
🧪 In 7th Grade Science, our Sparks explored chemical reactions by combining water, vinegar, and Alka-Seltzer to investigate reactions that produce carbon dioxide. Hands-on experiments make science come alive!
🏐 In Unified PE, students enjoyed playing mushroom ball! We love seeing our Sparks participate, connect, and have fun together!
➗ During WIN time, our 8th graders focused on mastering the skill of simplifying radicals. Every opportunity to practice, grow, and strengthen understanding moves our students one step closer to success!
From celebrating our students to exploring science and strengthening math skills, Day 46 was another great day to be a Spark! ⚡️
As a reminder, students do not attend school Friday, Monday, or Tuesday. We look forward to seeing them back in our building on Wednesday, October 14! Enjoy Fall Break, Sparks! 💙⚡️❤️
