✨ Day 15 ✨ was another great day at Pickens Middle! 💙❤️ We’re so thankful for the many opportunities we have to learn, grow, and connect as a school community!

Today, we held our Title I and School Improvement Council meeting. Thank you to everyone who took the time to be part of these important conversations and help us continue making Pickens Middle the best it can be!

Today’s highlights also include a presentation in our Introduction to AI course, highlighting strong text evidence in 7th grade ELA, and the DRY MIX song in 6th grade science! 🧠📚🔬

We love seeing our Sparks engaged, collaborating, and making learning happen every day! ⚡️

🎉 YAY, IT’S FRIDAY! 🎉

And you know what that means… HOUSE SHIRT DAY! 🏠🖤❤️💚💙 Our Houses earned points today not only by showing off their House spirit, but also by spinning the wheel! 🎡🙌

Day 14 was filled with learning, collaboration, and House pride! 📚✨ We loved seeing our ProTeam students learning in the media center, students working together in groups, and even some of our science classes grouped by Houses! 🧪🏠

And finally, we spotted some of our middle schoolers under the Friday night lights with the Pickens High School Marching Band! 🏈🌟

What a great way to wrap up the week! Day 14 has been a GREAT day at Pickens Middle! 💙❤️

Tomorrow is Friday, which means it’s HOUSE SHIRT DAY! 🏠👕 Help your House earn points by wearing your House shirt and showing your House pride! 🖤❤️⚡️💚💙

Our Learning Opportunity Highlight for Day 13 comes from our 8th grade ELA classes! 📚

Each period, Mrs. Fowler and Mrs. Looper combined their classes in the media center to review for an upcoming quiz. Students were divided into two groups—the Socs and the Greasers—to experience the perspectives and points of view of these two rival teenage groups from The Outsiders.

We loved seeing our students having FUN while LEARNING! What a great way to bring literature to life! 📖✨

We can’t wait to see everyone in their House shirts tomorrow! Let’s earn those points! 🏆

Day 12 at Pickens Middle School was another day filled with meaningful learning opportunities! ⚡️📚

Today, Mrs. Roper had the opportunity to visit some of our students who are taking classes at the Pickens County Career & Technology Center! We love seeing our students explore their interests and gain hands-on experiences that prepare them for their futures. 👏

Also featured in today’s pictures are students working in small groups with their teachers, along with hands-on learning happening in our Project Lead the Way and art courses! 🎨🔧

We can’t wait to see what amazing learning opportunities our students get to experience tomorrow! ❤️⚡️💙

Day 11 at Pickens Middle was filled with opportunities for hands-on, real-world learning! 🔬🌎📚 We love seeing our students engaged, collaborating, and making connections that bring learning to life!

After school, we kicked off our Red & Navy Game! ❤️🏐💙 Thank you to everyone who came out to support our volleyball teams! We were so excited to see parents, grandparents, staff members, and friends cheering on our Sparks! ⚡️

Day 10 at Pickens Middle School was a meaningful day—a day centered around student learning and honoring the life of Ms. Barrilleaux. 🩷

Our students continued to grow, learn, collaborate, and make the most of every opportunity to learn. At the same time, many of our students and staff participated in the pink out to honor Ms. Barrilleaux’s life and impact on our community.

We are grateful for our students, staff, and the Pickens community. 💞⚡️💞

Pickens Middle School joins Pickens Elementary School and the Pickens community in mourning the loss of a beloved teacher who touched the lives of so many. Ms. Aimée Barrilleaux, PES Kindergarten Teacher, passed this week following her journey with breast cancer.

We are asking all Sparks who are able to join Pickens Elementary in wearing pink on Monday, August 17th, as we honor, remember, and celebrate the life of a special teacher who truly left this world better than she found it. 💗🌸🎀

Happy Friday, Pickens Middle School! 💙❤️ Here’s a wrap-up of Day 9!

📖 During our morning meeting, members of the Yearbook Staff shared why students should purchase this year’s yearbook!

🔬🗣️ Other highlights include students busy learning in 8th grade science and Spanish, enjoying some fun at recess, and showing off plenty of House spirit throughout the day!

🎡 Our Houses earned points by spinning the wheel, wearing House shirts, and participating in the House Assembly! It was such a fun way to celebrate, connect, and wrap up another great week at Pickens Middle School!

We’re so proud of the learning, laughter, and House spirit happening throughout our school each day! 💙⚡️❤️
