🏊‍♀️💦 Making a Splash in 2nd Grade! 💦🏊‍♂️

Our 2nd graders started swim lessons at the Pickens YMCA this past week! Students are learning important water safety skills, building confidence in the pool, and having lots of fun along the way.

We’re so thankful for this opportunity for our students to learn skills that can last a lifetime! 💙🐠

🚗💙 Safety Patrol is off to a great start! 💙🚗

Our 5th Grade Safety Patrol students are already doing an awesome job helping out in the morning car line! They are showing responsibility, leadership, and a willingness to serve our school each morning.

We are so proud of these students for stepping up and helping our mornings get off to a safe and smooth start. Way to lead by example, Safety Patrol! ⭐

Get those smiles ready, Pickens Elementary! Our Fall Picture Day is Friday, September 11th!

👕 Picture Day Tip: Solid colors and small patterns photograph best. Try to avoid clothing with large images or logos.

💰 No money is needed on Picture Day! A proof or portrait package will be sent home from school within 3–4 weeks with information on how to order.

Mrs. Christian’s Kindergarten class had fun learning and working together today! 💙📚 Students partnered up to practice positional words! They took turns spinning, following the directions, and helping their partners along the way.

Hands-on learning + teamwork = a great day in the classroom! 🌟👏

💙This morning, we had the joy of welcoming some of our Pickens Elementary retirees for a special brunch. It was wonderful to reconnect, share stories and laughter, and celebrate the educators and staff members who have given so much to our school over the years.

We are so thankful for the lasting impact they have made on generations of students and on the Pickens Elementary family.💙
