Congratulations to Ms. Huerta for earning an education grant from the Arizona Diamondbacks! She was recognized on the field before Friday night's baseball game.
Our 6th grade clap-out was bittersweet! While we don’t want to say goodbye to this awesome group, we are excited for their futures! We wish them all luck in middle school and hope that they will come back to visit us 💚

Thankful for our partners with the City of Phoenix. Each week, volunteers have come to Desert View to read with our students and help build reading fluency. We celebrated this past week as the school year was coming to a close. Thank you AARP reading program, and thank you City of Phoenix!

We are so incredibly proud of every single student who absolutely shined at our annual talent show today! From singing, to dancing, playing the keyboard, karate, original plays and puppet shows, our DV students really entertained us all!

After 30 years of dedication to Desert View, Joyce Brown, or “Mama Joyce”, as so many lovingly call her, is retiring. Joyce has touched the lives of so many of our students, their families, our staff members and DV community members in her time at DV. Joyce has been a staple in our literacy lab and many other roles on our campus, and former students regularly come back to ask if Mama Joyce is still here so they can say hi. While we are going to miss her kind and loving presence on campus, we are so excited for her to enjoy her well earned, well deserved relaxation and time with her family.

We had our final quarterly awards assembly of the 2025-26 school year! We are so proud of all of the students who worked so hard this year to show that they were doing their best, being safe, respectful and responsible, and being great role models on our campus!
