Acacia Elementary School is an Arizona A+++ School of Excellence (awarded in 2010, 2014 and 2018). Our principal, Ms.

This is a 3 year title that we have held for 3 consecutive rounds. We were also awarded the National Title I Distinguished School for Arizona (2013). Hollingsworth, has been at Acacia for 18 years. She has been awarded Arizona Principal of the Year in 2017 and Maricopa County Superintendent's Exemplary Principal in 2020. We are committed to achieving excellence for every child, every day, every op

portunity. Acacia Elementary School's curriculum is fully aligned with State Standards. Acacia Elementary provides an effective kindergarten through sixth grade education. In addition, a preschool program, as well as before- and after-school day care services are available at Acacia. We meet the needs of gifted students through our Project Potential program, offer extended learning disabled resource for special education needs and provide art, music, band/strings and PE for all grade levels. We educate students using differentiated learning techniques drawing upon the multiple intelligences. We have valuable partnerships with the community and businesses. We appreciate their involvement as we work together to make Acacia the best it can be. The Acacia PTA conducts many community activities for families. We are proud to be able to bridge the gap between our school and the community we serve.

This weeks' Owl-Standing winners look excited to be recognized on live announcements! These students were given tickets throughout the week by staff members who observed them following the Acacia Way! 🌻👍🏼
They each received a "smencil" and each parent received a congratulation note for having a child who followed the Acacia Way!
We LOVE to celebrate, so look for more winners soon!🎉

Let's celebrate our first round of Acacia Way To Go Winners! These students received an "Owlstanding ticket" sometime during the past week from a staff member for following the Acacia Way! Winners were drawn on live announcements and each child chose a "squishie" to take home! Students who are not chosen are put in our "second chance" tub for a chance to win later in the year!

So proud of them all!🥰

What an AMAZING and smooth first day we had! There were so many smiling faces and an overabundance of joy from seeing everyone again!❤️
A giant THANK YOU to all of our parents for your patience and diligence in following all dismissal procedures despite the heat!🔥We promise it will get easier as time goes on and all students are used to the procedures. 🥰
