Last week, Manzanita Elementary School Library Media Specialist Abeth Spencer attended a session at the State House of Representatives! Mrs. Spencer was invited and introduced by Representative Judy Schwiebert as a special guest in honor of National School Librarian Day. During her remarks, Representative Schwiebert said, "Whether she’s inviting kids to suggest titles or topics they want in the library on her Suggestion Wall, choosing the perfect book for a reluctant reader, or dressing up as a dragon to read dragon books, Mrs. Spencer and other school librarians are teaching students that libraries are a fun and exciting place to be."
