We are happy to recognize Dalia Jobe, kitchen manager at WESD Nutrition Services/Richard E. Miller Elementary School, as an Employee of the Month for March!

Dalia is known as an employee who leads and serves by example. After serving as the manager at another school for many years, Dalia volunteered to change schools and help a kitchen that was short-handed. In the year since she’s made the transition, Dalia has met a lot of new teachers, students and staff members, but approaches her job with a positive attitude and a smile, which her colleagues admire. Since the transition, Dalia has trained three new staff members and created a positive work environment that has enabled her to retain her team. Thanks to Dalia’s leadership and knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation, Richard E. Miller received an “A” letter grade during the most recent inspection from the department of health! She interacts warmly with students and staff as they come through the serving line, not only providing nourishment of the belly but of the heart! Dalia is a dependable employee, who rarely misses work which makes her a familiar and reliable face students can count on. Dalia is described as positive, dependable and dedicated.

They are looking for unit leaders, managers and helpers to fill full and part-time positions at several of our campuses.
