In honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Ms. Smith’s Culinary Arts class participated in a fry bread demonstration and educational lesson exploring the history, origins, and cultural significance of this traditional food. Students learned about the historical circumstances that led to the creation of fry bread and its enduring significance within many Indigenous communities.

Through this hands-on experience, students had the opportunity to connect culinary arts with history, culture, and tradition while deepening their understanding and appreciation of Indigenous Peoples and their heritage. ❤️
