The Academy of Math and Science is a public charter school that focuses on high academic achievement in math and science serving the generation of today by giving them experience in engineering, robotics, medicine, etc. We prepare our students to enter higher learning institutions and the real world with an understanding of what the future of service industries in math and science have to offer.

Our 3rd grade scholars built their own solar ovens and put them to the test! They explored how **the Sun is the primary source of energy for Earth by using the Sun’s energy to heat their ovens and warm up their s’mores. 🔥

Watching the excitement as they made observations, saw their ovens work, and enjoyed their s’mores made this hands-on science experience even sweeter! 😋☀️

Please join us in celebrating two amazing members of our AMS Flower family! 💙💚💛
🌟 Ms. Denia – Staff Member of the Month!
Ms. Denia is always ready to step up and lend a helping hand. She provides individualized support to our students with special needs with patience, kindness, and compassion. She has also gone above and beyond by assisting our School Registrar with enrollment paperwork and helping coordinate dismissal for students transported by daycare vans. We are so grateful for all that Ms. Denia does for our students and our school community! 💚
🏐 Ms. Palencia – Teacher of the Month!
Ms. Palencia has brought incredible ENERGY to the school year! As our Athletic Director, she jumped right in and got volleyball up and running, including holding tryouts during the first two days of school. She also stepped up to lead our 4th grade cohort while we welcomed a new teammate, supporting the substitute, handling student discipline when needed, and welcoming the new teacher into her classroom to help set her up for success. 💙
👏 Thank you, Ms. Denia and Ms. Palencia, for your dedication, leadership, and commitment to our Flower community! We appreciate everything you do!
