Welcome back, Longhorns! We are excited to have another awesome school year of teaching and learning! Reminder School doors open at 7:30 a.m. for our students and our dismissal bell rings at 2:45. We can't wait to see all of our smiling students tomorrow. Go Longhorns!

Our first day is Monday, August 7th.
We open the gates at 7:30 am. Families may drop off their scholars at their classrooms on the first day only. All families must exit the campus by 8:00 a.m. so that learning can begin. We are looking forward to seeing all of our families tomorrow morning! Go Longhorns!

Our teachers have been hard at work, getting ready for a fantastic year of teaching and learning. We can't wait to see all of our students on Monday for our first day of the school year!

Parent Reminder: Come by the school tomorrow any time between 5:00pm-7:30pm to meet your child's teacher for this school year. We can't wait to see all of our new and returning students!

It was a great time tonight as we danced with our 4th-6th graders at the Spring Fling End of the Year Dance. Thank you to all that showed up!

Our first Dia de los Ninos picnic was great and it included a Farmer's Market Experience.

Our fabulous first place, best of school and best of show winners received their awards Wednesday night. Congratulations to our creative Longhorn artist and a big thank you to Mrs. Lear for working hard with our students!

Our 5th grade had an amazing time at the D-backs game. It is an experience we will never forget.

It's that time of year when all the hard work pays off.... the Art Show!!!! Today, all the Cartwright art teachers set up their 2d and 3d displays showing off all of our artists' amazing creations. Open for visiting today and next week from 4-6 pm.

This week, our 3-6 graders completed their state testing. Johnny Longhorn says Thank you to all staff and students that worked hard to show what our scholars know. Good job, Longhorns! Have a great weekend!!

Our 5th graders have been performing acts of community service around the school and at home around the neighborhood and will be rewarded to a Dbacks game next week. Thanks for showing you can be safe, kind, and responsible for our community!

Our 5th graders enjoyed art in Chicago, Detroit, and Tucson while on their VR field trip today.

Yesterday we celebrated our 3-6 grade scholars who displayed being Safe, Kind, and Responsible all March long at our 3 B Bash. We appreciate you showing your Longhorn Pride by embodying our 3 B's!

Next year for the 2023/24 school year, staff will be working a 4-day week at Cartwright School District #83.

School will be closed for Spring Break from 03-13 to 03-17. School will resume on 03-20 at 7:45 am. We look forward to starting our 4th and final quarter of the 2022-2023 School Year!

We ended our week with Twin Day yesterday! It was great to see all of the students dress like their friends and teachers. We even had a couple of "quintuplets". Thanks for showing your spirit, Longhorns!!

Our 5th graders settled down after recess with a read aloud from our librarian. We love celebrating Read Across America Day!

Congratulations to our Students of the Month for the month of February. These scholars demonstrate their Longhorn Pride the whole month of February. We can count on them to Be Safe, Be Kind and Be Responsible.

Reminder to all parents: The Cartwright School District will be closed on Monday, February 20, in observance of Presidents' Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 21.

Thank you Sky Harbor Airport for hosting our fifth grade scholars the last two days. We enjoyed the tour and loved hearing about all the career opportunities the airport has to offer.
