Almost Home Daycare

It is with great sadness that after 10 years the time has come for me to shut my daycare down. Just as I felt like God placed every child in my care, I do feel like His hand and timing have also been at work during this time of letting go. I know that as He prepares us for the next part of our journey I can't go without saying thank you. Ten years ago I got the opportunity to do something I had dreamt of doing to help working parents. In that moment Almost Home Daycare came to life. Over the next 10 years I was blessed more than I could have ever imagined. So thank you to every parent who trusted me to take care of the most treasured person in their lives. You will never know how much that touched my heart to know you were trusting me enough to keep them safe. Every child became like one of my own kids and every parent became like family to me. I can never repay you for the experiences you gave me. It was always bittersweet as the kids got old enough and we had to say good bye. That was always the hardest part. But now it is my time to move on and to share the treasures I have collected or created during that time. So come visit us on Saturday to help these treasures find their new homes to be loved some more. Thank you to everyone who has ever supported me on this journey and know I leave with a full and grateful heart because of each one of you.

We had so much fun playing at Chuck E Cheese to celebrate the end of summer as we send some of our friends back to school. Neesa, Ava and Elias it has been fun having you with us over the summer and we will miss you until we see you again. I'm so proud of you all and I know you will be amazing in school.

Are you looking for a safe, fun place for your children (age 3 months-5 yrs) to play, learn and grow in social and academic skills? Almost Home Daycare strives to let working parents feel secure knowing their children are love and well-cared for in a homey atmosphere with personalized care. Their days will be filled with play activities that stimulate imaginative and cooperative play, outdoor play in a shaded yard when weather permits, and crafting fun to build creativity, fine motor skills, and focus and concentration. Daily learning activities combine hands on and traditional approaches to help children be "kindergarten ready" in their knowledge and skills. Lunch and two snacks are provided. I'm currently looking for two new friends to join our group in August. If you are looking for a fun and safe place to send your kids while you work, we are the place for you. We offer a well-balanced day full of learning, playing, crafting and special projects. Our goal is to make sure each child is fully prepared for kindergarten when that time comes. Our numbers are kept low so that individualized care can be provided for each child. We would love to have you join us!!

We have had a fun holiday season. Old friends came back to spend time with us and we had a good time. Our Christmas celebration was filled with games, crafts, snowball fights and scavenger hunts. For New Years we counted down the hours to midnight, ok it was really noon, playing games, coloring and making a Cracker filled with goodies. Then at the top of the hour we blew our noise makers and toasted the new year with champaign, ok it was apple juice, but fun was had by all.

I wish all my daycare families past and present more blessings than you can imagine in 2022!! I am so blessed by each of you.

Here is the fun we had in October.

Well it's that bitter sweet time of the year when we have to say good bye to our friends who are headed off to school. Most of these kids have been with us since they were little so they have become like family. So we had our end of summer celebration and what a day of fun it was. It was all about water with a 14 ft slide, fun in the pool, water balloons and of course snow cone. It was all worth it because the kids had a blast. Neesa, Brooke and Makayla it has been an honor to teach and take care of you each day and we will miss you tons.

We have been busy and I know I haven't posted in a while but here are the fun times we have been having over the past few months.

We love swimming, arts and crafts, experiments, learning and just playing with friends. Every day is a new adventure as we play, learn and grow.
