Our History, Mission and Vision

Kyrene de los Cerritos is located in the Ahwatukee Foothills section of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. We are an elementary school in the Kyrene Unified School District. Cerritos is one of 19 elementary schools in the Kyrene District. Kyrene utilizes Spanish and Indian names to help distinguish their schools from schools in the five cities/areas: (Tempe, Chandler,

Phoenix, Guadalupe and the Gila River Indian Community) where
Kyrene schools are located. The typical enrollment for Cerritos is around 500 students. Our student population is very stable. Cerritos opened its doors in the fall of 1994. The school serves students in Preschool
and in grades K-5 on a shared campus with Kyrene Altadeña Middle School. Cerritos Mission Statement: Leaders of today Inspiring leaders of tomorrow. Cerritos Vision:

• Wednesday, Sept 9: Parent-Teacher Conferences begin (early release, 12:15) · Football Gear Spirit Day
• Thursday, Sept 10: Parent-Teacher Conferences (early release, 12:15) · Ice Cream Social, 5:30 PM in the courtyard
• Friday, Sept 11: Parent-Teacher Conferences (early release, 12:15) · Red, White & Blue Spirit Day, in honor of Patriot Day
Reminder: all three conference days are early release, with students dismissed at 12:15.

The Kyrene Family Resource Center is open Tuesday & Thursday from 9:00AM-4:00PM.
At this time, we can only accept new food, hygiene, school supplies & gently used school clothes and school uniforms.
