Sandra Day O'Connor, the first woman on the Supreme Court, has passed away. Did you know she had a connection to Maryvale? Her office was once located where the Cartwright School District is now situated.

The holidays are about bringing joy and hope to those in need, and thanks to the generous donation of Phoenix Police Lieutenant Terry Laker and his team, we’re able to do just that! We were thrilled to receive 70 turkeys that we’ll be offering to families throughout our district this holiday season.
As a community, it’s our responsibility to ensure everyone–regardless of their circumstances–has an opportunity to bring joy into their homes and share in festivities. Let's continue the spirit of giving together this holiday season!

In an effort to bring families together, Sunset Elementary School treated their scholars and families to an early Thanksgiving Feast in the cafeteria today! Families get to eat lunch with their children and enjoy a delicious turkey meal.

Astronaut Col. Frank Borman, who grew up in Tucson and commanded the first Apollo mission to orbit the moon, has died at age 95. Cartwright honored this American hero by opening Frank Borman Elementary School in 1968. R.I.P. Mr. Borman and thank you for your service to America.
