Stetson Hills has been awarded an A rating from the state for the past 3 years. In 2010, The Arizona Education Foundation recognized Stetson Hills as an A+ School of Excellence. This prestigious award recognizes our school staff, our students and our community.

📱🛡️ Building Digital Safety Superpowers! 🛡️📱

Today, our 4th and 5th grade Stallions welcomed Katey McPherson from Bark, a digital safety expert for children, for an important conversation about staying safe, responsible, and kind in the digital world! 💙💛

Students learned practical skills they can use both online and offline, including: 🌐 Making safe choices with online friends 📱 Creating and following technology contracts ✌️ How to be a peacekeeper in digital spaces 🚦 Recognizing green flags and red flags online 💬 Knowing when to pause, speak up, and seek help from a trusted adult.

Technology is a big part of our students’ world, and teaching them how to navigate it safely and responsibly is an important part of helping them grow into confident digital citizens.

A huge thank you to Katey McPherson and Bark for partnering with Stetson Hills and helping our Stallions unleash their digital safety superpowers! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️🐴

🦆🧱 STEM Challenge: Build a LEGO Duck! 🧱🦆

Our 2nd grade Stallions put their engineering superpowers to work in STEM as they tackled a fun LEGO Duck Challenge! 💙💛

Students used the engineering design process to imagine, plan, create, test, and improve their designs. With the same challenge and lots of creativity, students discovered that there can be many different solutions to the same problem! 🧠⚙️

Activities like this build problem-solving, perseverance, creativity, and collaboration—all while having a whole lot of LEGO fun! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

🥔🎉 Introducing the Mr. Potato Head Attendance Challenge! 🎉🥔

September is Attendance Awareness Month, and our Stallions are ready to prove that EVERY DAY COUNTS! 💙💛

Throughout September, our homerooms will be working together to build their very own Mr. Potato Head! Each day that EVERY student in the homeroom is present, the class earns a piece for their spud. 👀👂👃👟

🥔 12 pieces = a completed spud!
🥔 Completed spud = CHIP PARTY! 🥔🎉

Why chips? Because classes that show up together are ALL THAT AND A BAG OF CHIPS! 😎

We can't wait to watch those spuds grow! Families, you can help by making on-time, daily attendance a priority whenever your child is healthy and able to attend school.

📚🔍 Digging Deeper into Text in 8th Grade ELA! 🔍📚

Our 8th grade Stallions were putting their critical-thinking superpowers to work today! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

Students analyzed text to examine cause and effect and explored how a character’s choices and actions impact what happens next and move the plot forward. 📖💭

These deeper-thinking skills help students move beyond simply understanding what happened in a story to analyzing why it happened and how the author develops the story.

Our 4th grade Stallions were putting their math superpowers to work today as they explored place value! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

Students practiced understanding the value of digits and using place value concepts to strengthen their number sense and mathematical thinking. ➕🧠

Building a strong understanding of place value creates an important foundation for so many future math skills. We love seeing our Stallions thinking, problem-solving, and growing as mathematicians! 💙💛🐴
