Northlight Gallery curator Liz Allen has curated her last show at the gallery. After 26 years serving the ASU community and hundreds of students teaching the Photographic Exhibitions course, Liz will leave ASU with the Solari Foundation Collection to become its curator and collections manager. The Solari Foundation Collection, which is owned by an ASU alumnus had been on long-term loan to Northlight Gallery since 1991. The gallery had served as a teaching laboratory where students could work directly with renowned works from the collection, including Richard Avedon, Julia Margaret Cameron, Linda Connor, Bill Owens, Andy Warhol, Weegee, Edward Weston and others.
Join Liz in the gallery for the opening reception of her final show, Of Light And Alchemy, on September 5, which also happens to be her birthday. Doors open at 6 PM and the artist talk with Brenda Biondo will start at 6:30 PM.
