National Board candidates have been working hard all year preparing their portfolios; now the deadline to submit is nearly here! Submitting is cause for a huge celebration for your efforts and growth!

The submission deadline is May 16 at 11:59 pm CT. That's three days away.

If you haven't started uploading yet, start today. Large files can take longer than expected, depending on your internet connection, and you can upload gradually until the deadline. Don't leave it for the weekend.

This , we are sharing about the Dr. Kathy Wiebke, NBCT, Legacy Fund.

Dr. Kathy Wiebke, who passed in December, dedicated her life to uplifting the work of teachers. She was our state's first National Board Certified Teacher and greatly advanced the Arizona K12 Center in her 17+ years as its executive director, inspiring and supporting thousands of educators across our state to pursue excellence for the benefit of Arizona’s students.

We are deeply grateful for Kathy’s extraordinary contributions and the lasting impact she made on education in Arizona. Northern Arizona University has chosen to formally support and continue Dr. Kathy Wiebke’s life’s work by establishing the Dr. Kathy Wiebke, NBCT, Legacy Fund.

The Dr. Kathy Wiebke, NBCT, Legacy Fund will continue her life's work to advance education in Arizona for the benefit of students and support the Center’s National Board Certification efforts across Arizona.

Through the past year, school district induction and mentoring teams have been meeting with TNTP and Dr. Doug Fisher in the Arizona New Teacher Induction Network to advance how they can support the newest teachers in their schools and have the most impact on student outcomes.

TNTP started today's final network session by sharing their new research publication "Coherence by Design." Dr. Fisher (pictured) is leading the remainder of the day exploring the importance of teacher trust and credibility and rigor.

6th Annual ATA Beginning Teacher Institute 04/24/2026

The deadline is coming up the 6th Annual Beginning Teacher Institute!

Dr. Michael McDowell will take beginning teachers and mentors through an exploration of rigor and how true rigor is not an isolated moment but a daily practice embedded within a supportive, student-centered classroom culture.
