September 2026 Newsletter
Welcome to our 2026-2027 Dance Season!
I hope you all had a wonderful summer! Our first day of dance is Monday, Sept. 14th. Only 3 weeks away! I would like to welcome all of our new dancers to our dance family! We can not wait to to see our dancers back in the studio! There is a lot of information in this newsletter. Thank you for taking the time to read through it.
Newsletters
Most of my communication is through email. I will also post important information in our lobby. This newsletter is the first of many monthly newsletters that will have important information, upcoming events, announcements, and much more. Please take the time to read through them so you do not miss something important. I will email, post on facebook, and have extra copies in our lobby for your convenience.
Registration Paperwork and Dance Flier
**Open House is Monday, Aug. 31 5:30-7:30 Come register for classes!
If you haven’t done so already, please turn in your signed registration form. If you did not receive one, let us know. We can not schedule your dancer’s classes without their registration. We will be handing out our new 2026-27 dance flier at Open House and the first week of class. Please read through the flier carefully as it has been updated & there is a lot of information in it. If you have any questions about anything, there are 3 ways to reach us. You can find us on Facebook and you can leave us a message. Class Schedule & Confirmations
Everyone will be receiving an email with your dancer’s confirmations for all classes they are registered for starting this week, 8/24. Please respond back to that email so we know your dancer is in the correct class.
After classes have been confirmed you will receive a class schedule and tuition statement. I will have these out before September classes begin! If I do not have your registration form, I can not schedule your dancer’s class.
Billing
You will be receiving your dance statements very soon in your email with your monthly average for each month. This will show your monthly obligation for the remainder of the year, excluding costumes, shoes, competitions, etc. Tuition is due on the 1st of the month. If payment is not received by the 12th of the month, there is a $15 late fee added to your bill. **Since we do not begin classes until Sept. 14th, tuition for Sept. is due the first week of class. If your tuition is over a month late, the dancer will not be allowed to participate in class until the tuition is current. If a check is returned, there will be a $25 return check fee on top of any bank fees .
Payments
Please put all monthly payments in an envelope and into the metal lock box, located in the lobby at the studio. There are envelopes located near the lock box. Please label all envelopes with your dancer’s name along with your check number or cash payment for the month. Please do not hand any payment of any kind to teachers or students. The front door will be unlocked during business hours only, Monday – Thursday from 3:00-9:00 and Friday TTBD. The studio is not open on the weekends. If you need to reach us regarding your payment, please email Miss Val.
Dance Attire
NO boxy t-shirts or street clothes. Tights are required for everyone in each class except for Acro and Hip Hop. We have tights in stock if you need to purchase any. Our Preschool class, Daisy’s, and Lilly’s classes can wear any color bodysuit and tights. All other technique classes need to wear Black. A black bodysuit or cami with dance shorts/dance skirt. Hair must be pulled back with rubber bands or bobby pins. Please put extra hair ties in your dance bags. Ballet shoes are required for all Ballet tech classes. No SOCKS. Please order your shoes if you do not have them. If you are in need of shoes, check our shoe bin. There are a ton of shoes ready to be adopted. If you are uncertain what group your dancer is in, please email us 🙂 Your dancer’s confirmation will have the class your dancer is in and the shoes your dancer will need. If you have any conflicts or concerns regarding the dance attire, let us know.
Fund-raising
We are starting our first of several fundraisers! Our first fundraiser will be with Ponto's Fall Mums! The flyer is attached to the email that was sent out last week. All orders are due no later than 9/9/2026. Cash, Venmo, or Check (One check per dance family payable to Sarah Frawley) will be accepted. All Mums are $12 each with a dancer profit of $5 each. Delivery for mums is scheduled for 9/21 afternoon/evening. More details will be provided as we get closer.
In addition, we have our Little Caesar's Pizza fundraiser in the works. This will kick off 9/1 and orders will be due 9/17. Information will be forthcoming and brochures are expected to be in the lobby August 31st during Open House 5:30-7:30. These fundraisers help in cutting back costs on costumes, shoes, competitions, etc. for all our dance families!
Our annual Fall Chicken BBQ Fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, October. 3rd. Everyone is asked to sell 5 tickets. You can start now! This fundraiser sells itself!! Delicious BBQ chicken! This is a studio fundraiser that is used to help offset our annual recital expenses and minimize our ticket prices for all our dance families. Tickets for this fundraiser will be available on Monday, August 31st and available at the studio once classes begin. Please look out for all these fundraising emails and other emails regarding future fundraisers.

Costume Payments
Our costume payments are divided into 3 payments: Some of you will need multiple costumes. We like to order two-in-one costumes for our younger groups, if we can find ones that go with our routines. If we can not find a 2 in one, then you will purchase a costume for each dance your dancer is in.
*First deposit of $25 per costume is due by Sept. 20th (if your dancer is in Ballet, tap & jazz your costume deposit is $75)
*Second deposit of $25 per costume is due by Oct. 20th
*Remaining balance is due by Nov. 20th
*Our preschool class will need 2 costumes. You will pay a $50 deposit. Sept./Oct. & the balance in November. You are welcome to pay extra on your costume deposits for those who have multiple costumes. We will order costumes in December . We will start looking at books in October. In November, you will receive a statement for your costumes. Costumes will not be ordered if there is a remaining balance. Unfortunately, there will be no exceptions.
Shoes and Tights
You will receive what shoes your dancer will be wearing for each class in your confirmation email. If you need tights, Miss Val has some in stock. You can get your shoes at "The Performer's Closet" in Brewerton or order them online. If your dancer needs Turner’s, please get them through Miss Val. We have Turners in stock. If your dancer has shoes they have not outgrown, please have them wear them until they need new ones. You can also borrow shoes from our shoe exchange program. Donations for our shoe exchange program are always welcome! All dancers must have the correct shoes for pictures and recitals by
April 1st. Please put your child’s name in their dance bags & inside all their shoes. This will help when they are left at the studio or mistakenly put in someone else’s dance bag.
Facebook post
We like to take pictures and dance videos! I like to check with everyone to make sure you are ok if we take pictures and post them on our NNYDA page. We do not list student names. Please let us know if you do NOT want your dancer's picture posted.
School Schedule
The studio does Not go by the school calendar. All closings will be announced in the newsletter. If there is a snow day, there will be dance unless otherwise notified. Please check your emails on those days or call if you have any questions. If the weather is bad, please call and cancel. We are signed up with WSYR to notify you when we are closed due to bad weather. We also notify through email because sometimes it can be a last minute cancellation.
Holidays
We will be closed on Halloween, November, 25, 26, & 27 For Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year's week, the week of Oswego County's Spring break and Memorial Day. These are the only Holidays we will be closed for. You are not charged for any of these dates.
Recital Date
Our Spring recital will be in June of 2027. As soon as we have a date we will email it out for everyone to save the date!

If you need to speak to Miss Alicia, Miss McKinzi, Miss Mariah, Miss Mallory or Miss Val, please email us. We are on every morning to answer any emails. It is difficult to take time out of classes to talk.
Our studio business hours are 4:00-9 Monday-Thursday & TTBD for Friday.
