We’re pleased to introduce Eun Young Choi as a new assistant professor in the ASU School of Social Work. Dr. Choi’s interdisciplinary research focuses on aging, health disparities, older immigrants, neighborhood stressors, self-perceptions of aging, climate vulnerability and resilience among older adults. Her work examines how social, environmental and psychosocial factors shape health and well-being across later life. Welcome, Dr. Choi!

The ASU School of Social Work is delighted to welcome Nadia Neimanas as an assistant teaching professor. Neimanas is a licensed clinical social worker whose practice experience includes work with emerging adults and adults navigating addiction, trauma, life transitions, serious mental illness and related challenges. Her approach is grounded in social justice and draws from solution-focused brief therapy and motivational interviewing. Welcome, Dr. Neimanas!

Help us celebrate Lindsey Cantelme, who joins the ASU School of Social Work as an assistant teaching professor. Dr. Cantelme’s work focuses on substance use, women’s pathways toward substance use, exercise as a support for recovery, gender violence, immigration and refugees. She brings experience working with adolescents, young children, families living in poverty and immigrant families, along with a strong commitment to student learning and social work practice. A warm welcome to Anna Walther, who joins the ASU School of Social Work as an assistant professor. Dr. Walther’s research explores how work characteristics and public policies shape the economic security of low-income families, with a focus on the social safety net, inequality and the transition to parenthood. She joins ASU from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she completed her PhD in the Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work and was an Institute for Research on Poverty Dissertation Fellow. The ASU School of Social Work is excited to welcome Lucinda Adjesiwor as an assistant professor. Dr. Adjesiwor’s research focuses on child and family welfare, childhood adversity and trauma, maltreatment, behavioral health, parenting, family-support interventions, and racial and ethnic minority groups. She previously served as a research associate at the University of Southern California and Project Fatherhood, and brings experience in research, teaching and community-based social work practice.
