Boston lead singer Tommy DeCarlo, has passed away at age 60 after a six-month battle with brain cancer. He was best known for his tenure as the lead vocalist of the rock band Boston from 2007 until his death. His rise to fame is often cited as a "rags-to-riches" story, transitioning from a Home Depot credit manager and fan to the frontman of one of rock's most legendary groups.

Following the 2007 death of original singer Brad Delp, DeCarlo posted covers of Boston songs on MySpace. These were discovered by band founder Tom Scholz, who was so impressed by the vocal similarity that he invited DeCarlo to perform at a tribute concert for Delp. He officially joined the touring lineup in 2008 and remained the primary touring vocalist for nearly two decades. R.I.P. 🙏
