https://mailchi.mp/scamail.org/sca-alumni-news-spring24-15666941 Scottsdale Christian Academy was founded in 1968 by Scottsdale Bible Church. The original student body consisted of 47 students in grades 1-4. Because of the rapid growth of the school and a limited amount of space, SCA became independent of SBC and began operations as an Arizona nonprofit corporation in 1972. At that time, the school expanded to include grades kindergarten through eight. The high school began official operations in 1973, at which time the total enrollment was 275 students. In 1974, SCA relocated to 9827 N. 32nd Street in Phoenix, Arizona. As enrollment continued to increase, several buildings were added on site. In the early 1980’s, the search began to identify a larger location for our rapidly-growing school. That search culminated in 1991 when SCA relocated to the current fourteen-acre campus, located on the southwest corner of Tatum Boulevard and Acoma Drive.
