The wildest and holiest week away in the Andes 🍄⛰️🌱💫 and my Mother’s Day gift to myself before we moved to Atlanta!! Full cup and heart, stellar women, m spirit overflowing in awe of this sacred land. Thank you and for creating this tender container for us to land. It really felt like a homecoming and release I didn’t know I needed. I have nothing but massive awe and respect for all the mamas out there. And to the grandest mama of all - Pachamama. Thank you for holding us. This land is otherworldly. I would come back 100x over. What a gift and a blessing. We are everything, and we are nothing ⛰️🤲✨🌞

My son continuously teaches me who I am. Not the mom, not the teacher, not the layers of identities I’ve collected over the years. But the steady, unchanging awareness beneath that. I feel lucky to have had yoga as an underpinning to motherhood. It’s informed everything that I do, and has laid out the groundwork for the work ahead. Last year was the hardest year to date of my life. This year already feels lighter. He reflects everything - where I grip, where I rush, where I resist… all mirrored back through his pure, innocent, ego-less self. His humor, love, creativity and joy remind me that we are all just children of the planet. We just pick up heavy things along the way and call them security. When we can find the grace to put them down, we remember who we really are.

Some favorite moments over the last year✨

Road tripping through the Australian desert, summer 2017. Five weeks living in tents, marinating in nature, and yielding to the dry heat and relentless sun. Sometimes I ache for those carefree days. There is something untouchable about the ephemeral nature of the nomad phase. Maybe it’s the innocent hope that the road will never end - that we’ll never have to “return.” Maybe it’s the constant communion with Great Nature. It’s always been my greatest teacher.

I think before yoga hooked me, I subconsciously understood the interconnectedness of all living things. It’s why I studied biology: the realization that we are not just a part of the greater whole, but entirely dependent on it. My time in Vipassana mediation only deepened this. We never really understand anything until we live it. Interconnectedness is a universal truth that lives within the framework of the body on a cellular nature. Everything is energy, nothing is permanent, and our entire universe (inside and out) is in a constant change of flux, action and reaction.

This underpins everything I teach. The body becomes a map of the mind. The body doesn’t lie. We become what we repeat, and our patterns embed themselves as posture, tension, chronic pain, wrinkles, habit. But once we understand the map, we can change the destination.

The silence of the Great Red Desert is otherworldly. Uluru is not just a landmark; it is a pulse. Standing on that sacred ground, I felt the weight of a history that precedes language. It wasn’t just a trip - it was a pilgrimage to the heart of the earth, a reminder that some mysteries aren’t meant to be solved, only felt.

FOUR MORE WEEKS of teaching in these spaces 🥺🥲 The last six (!!) years here are where I feel like I really became a teacher. This is where I learned the value of roots - and had the privilege of both building and being held by an incredible community. What I offer now as a “yoga teacher” often has very little to do with the physical practice. I’m understanding my “why” in a different way, and holding space for even that to change.

To my home studio : I’ve had the privilege of witnessing so much magic ✨ growth, insight, tears, laughter, and transformation. So many bodies moving through this space since 2020! From early morning Fiery Flows in my pre-partum days, to the slow, transformative rhythm of weekly Yin, to the chaos and love of mamma and me classes, to the hundreds of private and semi-private therapeutic sessions… I am deeply grateful for this space and the work I’ve been able to do in it.

To : where I first fell in love with the practice. Where I began to see what was possible, and what I was capable of. Where I forged deep, long-lasting bonds with the most genuine people. Where my husband and I brought our co-creative visions to life. Thank you for showing me what the path can look like.

To .birmingham: where I really began to cut my teeth as a teacher. Where I was pushed to refine my technique (thank you .c.taylor and ), expand my offerings, and step out of my comfort zone. Where I found my love for workshops, hands-on adjustments, and meaningful conversation in community.

To all my private students over the years: thank you for putting your trust in me. For allowing me to walk alongside you - I am forever shaped by each of you.

It’s a bittersweet, love-filled closing to this chapter, and an open-hearted step into what’s next.

Came for a wedding. Stayed for the woods, the parks, and my humbling realization that Texas is not, in fact, just flat land and highways. Thank you Dallas 🙌 and congratulations to the fabulous and ! 💍👰🏻‍♀️🖤

I’m really excited to keep exploring “the practice” through the lens of Five Element Theory + the seasons 🌎🔥🌳💧🗡️ on Saturday March 7 ’s gorgeous studio! The seasons tell us where we are on the map of time. They give us a framework for understanding change - a way to organize practice around something bigger than mood or motivation. They show us where we are, what’s shifting, and how to work with change instead of fighting it.

Instead of practicing the same way all year, we can let Nature organize us. What if our practice evolves the way the year does?

In this workshop we’ll explore the organ systems, their corresponding elements (water, wood, fire, earth, and metal), and what it means to practice in conversation with the seasons, on and off the mat.

We’ll move, we’ll talk theory, we’ll connect the dots.

Saturday March 7: 12-3pm
Terra Firma Studio, Homewood (address in signup).
3 hours, $45.
Virtual option.
CEUs available.

Let’s keep the dialogue going. Link in my bio to signup 🌲

PART TWO: The gift of our people 🖤

This night was truly built by our village. No one really talks about how hard it is to throw a wedding, especially without a planner. Our cooperative spirit was put to the test. Through one lens, the big day ultimately went by in a crazy, stressful blur. But going through the hundreds of amazing photos has unveiled a whole new vantage point. The logistics kept our minds scrambled, but the magic and love that all of our people shined on us cut through the surface and hit us deep in our heart and soul. It’s all over our faces!!

Y’all showed up, lifted heavy things (literally), calmed our nervous systems, made us laugh, made us cry, and made Sloss feel like the most enchanted haunted ballroom on earth. We are so touched by all the love we received, and are giddy reliving the spirit of the day through sharing them her. We are endlessly grateful ✨❤️

Once again, a special thanks—

On October 25, 2025, we finally threw the most insane magical Halloween wedding 👻👰🏻‍♀️ at the 150 year old historic Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham. After eloping on Mt Cheaha in 2023, we then began planning the haunted gala of our dreams. Then our sweet Wilder lovingly wrecked that plan with a due date only 10 days out from the big day, so we kicked the can down the road a full year.

We poured our hearts and souls into this event for months (re: hoisting a 52 foot assembly of 100 handmade ghosts 30 feet into the air). The only “vendors” were food and drink (thank you , and !!). Everything else was literally brought to life by our beautiful community of friends and family.

We laughed, cried, loved, vowed, stressed (this is why you have the wedding before the baby), partied, got spooky, danced our asses off, and filled our hearts and cups 🥂 It was messy and emotional and beautiful and perfect.

Thank you to all of our friends and family who traveled from near and far, dressed to the nines for our haunted gala, and celebrated with us to make this the most memorable party of our lives. We love you. We will never forget it 🖤

Just in time for Valentine’s Day - in celebration of all of the love in our lives 💕

More to come! 🕸️🎃
