🎄 Ms. McClain’s 5th-grade math students celebrated their hard work with a gingerbread decorating competition! 💡Why? Because Period 1 answered the most questions correctly on their online learning platform IXL this quarter—with over 40,000 questions in Quarter 2 alone! 🏆 Each quarter, Ms. McClain's class periods compete for a reward, and this festive activity was the well-earned prize for Quarter 2! Congrats!

Today, we celebrate an extraordinary leader, our Head of School and CEO, Ms. Leah Fregulia, on her special day! This birthday is particularly bittersweet, as it marks Ms. Fregulia’s final ASA birthday celebration with us. 😢❤️

Words cannot capture how much we cherish her dedication, vision, and countless sacrifices that have shaped ASA into the remarkable place it is today. Her unwavering passion and commitment have left an indelible mark on all of us, and we are endlessly grateful for her leadership.

Over the weekend, Mr. Pierce and our incredible World Guitar students had the amazing opportunity to perform at the ’s annual, “’Tis the Season: Holidays at MIM”!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support our students and celebrate the holiday season with us. Your presence and encouragement made the event even more special!

This week, ASA’s Black Student Union and Multicultural Student Union held a holiday party to celebrate the season together! 🌟

Yesterday, the ASA Chamber Singers had the incredible honor of performing at the Phoenix Community Alliance's Annual Member Meeting & Center City Awards! 🎶✨

It was a fantastic event celebrating the amazing contributions of our ASA community partners. A huge congratulations to Artlink Phoenix's CEO Catrina Kahler, for receiving the Center City Star Award! 🌟 We also want to recognize the inspiring work of ASA parent and CEO of the Children's Museum of Phoenix's Kate Wells, and CEO Heather Lennon from Imagine General Contracting and Development, among many others.

We’re so grateful to be part of such a vibrant, supportive community. Thank you to the Phoenix Community Alliance for hosting such a memorable event and for bringing us all together! 💛

📣 We are proud to announce that Daniel Kang has received the Match Scholarship to Yale University to study piano performance and biology on a pre-med track and Amaya Vigenser has received the Match Scholarship to Oberlin College to study piano performance and computer programming. Congratulations!! 🎉

Match Scholarship Recipients gain early admission to top QuestBridge college partners with full four-year scholarships, covering tuition, housing, food, books, and travel. Partner institutions include Amherst, Columbia, Duke, Pomona, UChicago, and Yale. These scholars (across the country) boast an average GPA of 3.94, with 92% in the top 10% of their class. Most come from households earning under $65,000, with 89% qualifying for free or reduced-price meals, and 83% are first-generation college students.

With over 25,500 applicants, Daniel and Amaya are two of the 2,627 Finalists selected, nationwide. We’re so proud of you both! 👏
