People hear “PTA” and often think meetings and fundraising.
We think…
❤️ Creating a school where every child feels seen, celebrated, and excited to come to school.
This year, a small group of dedicated parents and teachers volunteered more than 2,512 hours to help make that happen.
You probably saw the fun…
🎈 Hallways transformed with decorations that students begged us not to take down.
🚚 Food trucks and giant lights that helped make Trunk or Treat a memorable evening for hundreds of families.
🎉 Family Bingo Night filled with laughter and amazing purchased and donated prizes.
💃 A magical Kinder Prom.
🍎 Teachers and staff feeling appreciated during conference nights and Teacher Appreciation Week.
🏫 Acacia’s 50th Anniversary celebration, where PTA partnered with the school to help plan, decorate, coordinate food trucks, borrow a dunk tank, secure shade tents, and make the day extra special.
🚌Paying for the cost of buses for field trips.
🎓 Graduation celebrations.
⚽ And soon, our K–2 students will enjoy brand-new soccer goals and nets on one of their playgrounds—another investment in creating fun, active spaces for our kids.
What you probably didn’t see…
The planning meetings.
The evenings spent cutting decorations around kitchen tables.
The phone calls and emails to local businesses asking for donations.
The countless texts coordinating volunteers, food trucks, lighting, tents, supplies, prizes, and special surprises.
The parents and teachers working alongside our school because we all share the same goal: giving ALL of our students the best experiences possible.
Or the story behind those hallway decorations…
It started with Christmas...
We simply wanted to brighten the halls.
Then students started asking us, “Please don’t take the decorations down!”
So we didn’t.
We decorated for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and the spring.
What started as a simple decorating project became something much bigger. It changed the feeling in our hallways. Students looked forward to seeing what was next. Staff loved walking through them. It reminded us that even the smallest acts of kindness and school spirit can have a lasting impact.
That’s the heart of PTA.
The PTA mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
Advocating for children doesn’t always happen in a meeting.
Sometimes it looks like improving a playground.
Sometimes it looks like supporting teachers.
Sometimes it looks like creating joyful family events.
Sometimes it looks like decorating a hallway that makes a child smile on a hard day.
PTA gives parents a voice—not just in fundraising, but in helping shape the experiences, traditions, and culture that make our school feel like home.
Whether you have one hour a month or want to dive in alongside us, your ideas, your talents, and your voice matter.
Imagine what we could accomplish with even more parents who believe every child deserves to feel connected, celebrated, and supported.
