A Stepping Stone Foundation Transforming lives through quality two-generation education.

Founded in 1989, A Stepping Stone currently collaborates with Alhambra, Isaac and Synergy School Districts to provide three preschool classes for a total of 60 three- and four-year-old preschool children, 39 younger siblings, and adult education for the parents. Our Preschool: We provide a tuition free, high quality, developmentally appropriate preschool program. It is comprehensive and creates success for children at risk of school failure due to literacy issues. Family Literacy: We ensure family success by requiring the parents to attend: tuition free adult education classes, parental classroom participation and parenting classes. Further supports include home visiting and tuition free child care and enrichment for the younger siblings of our preschool students. Our Community: We further ensure success by: providing our preschool children with meals in partnership with the hosting school district, partnering our preschool program with colleges and local organizations to assist family literacy by providing adult education, and reaching as many preschool children as possible through blended funding streams. Our Success: We reward and continue to promote family literacy by providing post secondary education opportunities to our former preschoolers who are now high school graduates, by enabling access to college through our college scholarship fund.

Sometimes, the difference is having someone who believes in you. 💛

A teacher who sees your potential.
A parent who keeps encouraging you.
A community that reminds you that you’re not alone.
A program that gives your family the tools and support to keep moving forward.

At A Stepping Stone Foundation, we believe education is a family journey. Through two-generation education, we support children and caregivers as they learn, grow and build toward what’s next.

Because when families have access to support, resources and people who believe in them, the possibilities can look very different. 🌱

We’re grateful to be part of those journeys.

Every great adventure begins with a good book. 📚💛

This month’s featured read is Corduroy, a timeless story about friendship, kindness, belonging and being loved just as you are. Reading together helps build language, confidence, imagination and a lifelong love of learning, one story at a time.

Have you read Corduroy with your little one? We’d love to hear about your family’s favorite children’s books in the comments! 📖✨

Every school year starts at home. 💛🍎

Long before the first school bell rings, learning begins with the people who encourage, support and believe in a child every step of the way.

At A Stepping Stone Foundation, we know parents and caregivers are a child’s first and most important teachers. Together, we’re building strong foundations for a lifetime of learning, growth and opportunity. 🙌🏽

Here’s to a wonderful school year for every student, family and educator! ✨📚
