🎉The first day of school is always one of the most exciting days. Today, we've been giving the students campus tours all day. We call it our "walkabout," and it has taken the kiddos to the cafeteria, the main office, the bus zone, the crosswalk, the restrooms, and the La Clinica health center. When you see your children later today, ask them what they thought of their walkabouts.

🤩🖼️What a wonderful celebration of this school and this community! Principal Schleif did the honors by cutting the ribbon to celebrate our new mural about an hour ago in front of a big, cheering crowd of students, families, and community members. Al Muelhoefer, Mayor of Phoenix was there, along with Lavanya Kruger of the Phoenix Oregon Art Commission, and the muralist himself, Xavi Panneton. Thank you, Junior Pirate community, and everybody who helped make this possible. What a way to kick off the 2026-27 school year!
