This Friday, school board members from across Arizona are recognizing fellow board leaders and the impact they make in their districts and communities. These shoutouts come directly from board members who understand the work and the commitment it takes.

Districts are invited to share photos and stories from their celebrations for possible inclusion in ASBA Connect, the ASBA Journal and on ASBA social media platforms. Submissions may be emailed to Jayla Alston at [email protected].

Each year, ASBA offers student scholarships to support high school seniors from member districts as they take the next step in their educational journey.

These scholarships recognize outstanding achievement, leadership and service, helping students pursue higher education at accredited institutions in Arizona.

Scholarships available:

• Panfilo H. Contreras Honorary Scholarship
• Black Alliance Georgie and Calvin Goode Scholarship

Earlier this month, the ASBA Board of Directors gathered in Tucson for their January retreat. From strategic planning and committee work to exploring new service offerings and strengthening our advocacy efforts, the focus was clear: building a strong path forward for Arizona’s public schools.
