🎤📢 A special shoutout to our amazing 5th-grade Morning Announcement Team!
Throughout this school year, these three students started each day by bringing energy, enthusiasm, and positivity to our school through the morning announcements. Their dedication, confidence, and cheerful voices helped keep our school connected and informed every single day.
As they prepare to move on to middle school, we want to thank them for their hard work and commitment. We will truly miss seeing them behind the intercom each morning! And now, the search begins for our next group of Morning Announcement stars. We can’t wait to see who will step up and shine next year! ⭐️

📚🎉 Our Accelerated Reader Spring Contest wrapped up the school year with an incredible number of words read by our Griffith Giants! We are so proud of all the students who participated and made reading a priority.
Our winners were excited to celebrate with a special library party that included popcorn, a movie, and a free book to enjoy over the summer. 📖🍿🎬
Keep reading, Giants! The adventures don’t have to stop when school is out. Have a wonderful summer, and we’ll see you in the new school year! ❤️🤍

Whether you’re spending your days outside blowing bubbles, creating sidewalk chalk masterpieces, exploring new adventures, or staying cool indoors with fun and creative activities, we hope your summer is filled with joy and laughter.

📚🍦 What a sweet way to celebrate the end of the school year! During the last week of school, students from every grade level who became Accelerated Reader Millionaires were treated to a special ice cream party! 🎉
Our Giants worked so hard all year long, reading their way to an amazing accomplishment, and we loved celebrating their dedication with a big delicious treat. We are so proud of all the reading our students accomplished this year! 💙📖

Yesterday, we surprised our 5th graders by having the entire school come out and cheer them on as they continue their educational journey to Tillman Middle School. We are so proud of each and every one of them and can’t wait to see all they accomplish in this next chapter! 🎓✨
We hope everyone had an amazing last day of school and wish all of our students and families a fun, safe, and relaxing summer break!❤️☀️

🎓 Next stop: First Grade!Our kindergarten Giants officially promoted today! 🎉 We are incredibly proud of their first year of school and cannot wait to watch them continue to learn and grow next year. ❤️A huge thank you to our amazing teachers and families for making this wonderful year possible.☀️ Happy last day of school! The Fifth grade promotion ceremony was filled with smiles, memories, and proud moments as we celebrated our students getting ready for middle school.
We are going to miss them so much here at Griffith Elementary, but we know Tillman Middle School is excited and ready to welcome this amazing group of students!
Our students also took time to write heartfelt letters thanking their families and parents for supporting them throughout their educational journey. After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed cake, refreshments, and one last chance to mingle and say goodbye to Griffith Elementary.
Congratulations, Griffith Giants — your future is bright! ✨

Yesterday, Griffith Elementary set sail with our very first Spring Show, ShipWrecked! 🌊⚓🎶
Our students in grades 1–4 absolutely amazed us with a beautiful performance focused on instrumental music and teamwork. Under the direction of Mr. Nate, students played their hearts out and showed incredible growth, confidence, and talent on stage.
A huge thank you to Mr. Nate for creating such a meaningful and memorable experience for our students, as well as to our amazing specials team for all of their help behind the scenes. We also want to thank our teachers, staff, families, and especially our students for ending the school year strong and making this first-ever spring performance such a success!

The latest Griffith staff member recognized at this month's governing board meeting is Ms. Stumpf. Ms. Stumpf leads our Reading Lab which serves students from kinder through 5th grade. Thank you Ms.Stumpf for your leadership in reading intervention and facilitating our Giants' growth in reading!
