Today marks the first anniversary of Leo Hernandez Day—officially proclaimed on May 8, 2025 by the Arizona State Senate and the Arizona House of Representatives.

This special recognition, awarded to only a handful of individuals in Phoenix, honors the impact and dedication of our Journalism teacher, Leo Hernandez.
