📢 Sunnyslope Parent Night is tonight!

Junior and senior families, programming begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by sessions for freshman and sophomore families beginning at 6:45 p.m.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend to learn more about their student’s high school experience and the resources available to support their success.

Parent Night will be September 1st this year.

Junior and Senior Parents will start programming at 5:30. Freshmen and Sophomore Parents will have sessions beginning at 6:45.

Slope hosted its first Flag Raising ceremony of the year last week. JROTC provided the flag salute, and Varsity Football Captains greeted the crowd with speeches.

Student Council, Viking Pride Band, and Spiritline were also integral parts of the event.

Club Rush moved inside this year!

Dozens of clubs rolled out welcome mats and informative materials to show our Vikings what Slope has to offer! The event took place in the gym during both lunches.

The Viking Center has extended its hours!

Quiet multi-purpose workspace with academic support by certified teachers and student tutors, interactive games, and internet access.

BETWEEN THE BELLS: English Teacher Rose Mullaney and German Teacher Sandra Zemaitis spent the morning quizzing students with flashcards as the students entered their classroom.

Activities like this set an academic and curious tone for our classrooms.

With home Volleyball and Football games this week, here is a reminder that our clear bag policy for school events.

Sunnyslope High School – Clear Bag Policy

Approved Bags:
- Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag — no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"
- Small clutch bag (with or without handle/strap) — no larger than 4.5" x 6.5"
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc or similar)
- Medical bags are permitted but subject to inspection

Not Approved:
- Bags larger than 12" x 6" x 12"
- Cinch bags
- Tote bags
- Backpacks
- Purses
- Camera bags

Senior Darius Wabbington has had a busy summer and official offseason. According to Sports Illustrated, Darius "Played for Compton Magic for the Adidas 3SSB circuit... He also took part in the 2026 FIBA U18 Men's AmeriCup with USA Basketball, helping them win a silver medal after putting up 9.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 steals in five games."

Darius is deep in recruitment talks and is currently labeled the national #15 recruit in the NCAA.

The Career Center is having College Application Workshops every Wednesday morning from now through September 30th.

The sessions will be at 8 AM in the Career Center on the K Building Patio.
