Thank you to ABC15 for taking the time to highlight our Freshman House program—not just because we believe every 9th grader deserves a strong start to their high school journey, but because the impact is real. Since Freshman House began at Camelback, both graduation and attendance rates have improved. We’re so proud of what our students and staff are accomplishing together.

How 'Freshman House' program is improving graduation rates in Phoenix Four years ago, the Phoenix Union High School District started a program called Freshman House, trying to improve graduation rates among its students.

Certified & Crushing It! Shoutout to Viviani, Veronica, Jaden, Leo, David, Ili, and Gonzalo for leveling up their culinary game with the manager-level certification from Always Food Safe. These Spartans aren’t just cooking—they’re cooking with credentials!
