Our counselor, Ms. Genene, invited some members of the military to MIT to talk with students about the opportunities the US military has to offer.
Here are a few words from her:
“I would like to sincerely thank everyone who joined us for Thursday’s tabling event hosted by the military during lunch. It was a tremendous success, filled with fun activities, engaging questions, and plenty of friendly competition...
The energy and enthusiasm were truly remarkable, and it was inspiring to see everyone come together to make the event so memorable. I’m excited for more opportunities like this, where we can connect, learn, have fun, and strengthen the bonds within our community..."

Classroom Spotlight - Anatomy & Physiology
Heart walk is a pre-lab activity to ensure that all students understand the blood circulation of the heart and the landmarks before they dissect a sheep’s heart. The students carry red or blue blood to represent oxygenated or non-oxygenated blood. We will then dissect and study the sheep heart, which is very similar to human anatomy and physiology.

Mrs. Montiel and Mr. Moya were able to take their Media students to ASU’s Walter
Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. During the trip, students explored the various majors available in media and journalism, gaining insight into potential career paths.
A highlight of the visit was stepping into a real studio, where students experienced the thrill of being a weatherperson, practicing live reporting in front of a green screen.
