Most people think breathwork needs to be extreme
Like you have to break to heal
Relive everything
Push into the pain
That’s become popular… but it’s not always wise
At Breathwerx, we use conscious connected breathing inside a safe, grounded container
No camera close ups
No performance
No pressure to “have a breakthrough”
In group sessions, the intention is simple
Come back into your body
Stay present
Build capacity
Because here’s the truth most people avoid
If your system doesn’t have the foundation
Going deeper can actually make things worse
Breath is powerful
It can open doors your nervous system isn’t ready to walk through
That’s why fundamentals matter
Learning how to breathe into the diaphragm
Regulate CO2
Stay with sensation without leaving your body
Without that… people may not heal
but instead just re experience
And re experiencing isn’t the same as resolving
There is a place for deeper work
With the right guidance
The breath can surface layers that have been held for years
Memories
Imprints
Emotions stored below conscious awareness
And when the body is ready… those can move
But nothing is forced here
We don’t chase catharsis
We don’t dig for trauma
We don’t turn healing into a spectacle
Because real transformation isn’t in the intensity
It’s in your ability to stay present as sensation moves
To not get pulled into the story
To not identify with what’s arising
The breath doesn’t take you backward
It reveals what’s been held
So you can move through it
And return to what’s always been underneath
Whole
Aware
Alive
Conscious connected breathwork isn’t about reliving your past
It’s about remembering who you were before it
Entering the light
Not getting lost in the darkness
Just breathing
Just being
Just coming home
BreathWerx - Breath, Cold, Mindset and Optimization Training
Change your breath, change your life. We are dedicated to spreading the power of breathwork
Your lungs look like trees for a reason.
Both use branching networks to maximize surface area for gas exchange.
Trees absorb carbon dioxide (CO₂) and release oxygen (O₂).
Your lungs absorb oxygen and release carbon dioxide.
Inside your chest are about 300 million alveoli, tiny air sacs where oxygen enters the blood and carbon dioxide leaves. Spread out, this surface area would cover roughly the size of a tennis court.
But here is the part most people never learn.
Carbon dioxide is not just a waste gas.
It is one of the key regulators of oxygen delivery in the body.
When carbon dioxide levels rise slightly in the blood, it helps release oxygen from hemoglobin so it can actually reach your tissues, muscles, brain, and organs. This is known as the Bohr Effect.
Ironically, when people breathe too fast or too much, they blow off too much carbon dioxide.
Oxygen may still be in the blood, but it is held more tightly by hemoglobin and delivered less efficiently to the cells that need it.
Trees help regulate the carbon dioxide and oxygen balance of our planet.
Your breathing regulates the balance inside your body.
The fundamental training is simple.
Breathe slower.
Breathe lighter.
Breathe through your nose.
By lengthening and softening the breath, carbon dioxide levels normalize, oxygen releases more efficiently, and the nervous system begins to settle.
Your breath is not just air moving in and out.
It is a conversation between your body and the Earth.
And like the forests, it works best when the balance is preserved.

Thanks to for capturing these photos with and community of fellow instructors. Breath is the bridge that connects us to the essence of life. 🌬️💫 For over two decades, I’ve delved deep into the art of breathwork, unlocking its immense potential for stress adaptation and holistic well-being. First my focus was learning how to utilize my own breath for performance in the world of combat sports. Then it moved into different areas. From leading workshops for first responders to empowering men’s groups and guiding families, I’ve witnessed the transformative power of breath firsthand.
Through my journey, I’ve embraced diverse modalities, blending the wisdom of the Wim Hof Method with other breathwork techniques. 🧘♂️ It’s not just about teaching; it’s about empowering individuals to harness their breath for health, resilience, and inner peace.
Join me on this journey of self-discovery and empowerment through breath. Together, let’s unlock the secrets of our breath and embrace life’s moments with clarity and vitality. 💪

What an honor to visit Buctown MMA in my home state of New Jersey to lead a The Iceman (Wim Hof) fundamental course. It was super special to re connect with coach Jay again as the last time we connected was in a ring in 2005 as opponents. I'm proud of everyone who attended this course and who faced their fears and trusted in themselves and myself to guide you. The work starts now!
