You don't need a conversation partner to practice speaking French.

Here's something you can start doing today: talk to yourself in French.

Describe what you're doing:

“Je prépare le dîner.”
“Je cherche mes clés.”
“Je dois aller au travail.”

It sounds simple, but you're training your brain to retrieve French without preparing an answer first.

And that's exactly what you need in a real conversation.

Start with just a few minutes a day.

The goal isn't perfect French. The goal is to make speaking French a habit.

Pick one easy question, like “Qu’est-ce que tu as fait aujourd’hui ?” and answer it out loud in French for one minute.

No writing your answer first.
