This week we plan to highlight meaningful moments from our senior high graduation. First, we'd like to introduce you to the Class of 2024 Valedictorian, Alexa Garcia. Having graduated with 4.428 and completed an Honors Capstone Project, Alexa has proven herself an intelligent, passionate, and a well-spoken young woman who plans to continue her studies in pre-law at UofA. Congratulations Alexa, we are extremely proud of you! Please enjoy reading a portion of Alexa's beautiful speech.

"As we move to the next chapter of our lives, remember that you will always be led to where you are supposed to be. We will accomplish many milestones of success but also fail many times. We will all face an ever changing and ruthless world. Some of us will face it with a support system, and some of us will face completely alone. No matter, you will be forced to endure. And when you fail, because we will, remember this quote from Rachel Scott, “It was not meant to be your blessing but if you keep looking backwards you will miss yours.” If we dwell on our failures, it will cost us the success that was meant to come from it. Graduates, show the world that we are our failures just as much as our successes. Do not be ashamed of any redirection that you will face in life. Embrace failure, rejection, and disappointment because ultimately those things are building your success, even when you cannot see it."

During a sermon at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in 1957, using Matthew 5:43-45 as his text, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. emphasized that “hate for hate only intensifies the existence of hate and evil in the universe. . . . The strong person is the person who can cut off the chain of hate, the chain of evil. . . . and inject within the very structure of the universe that strong and powerful element of love.”

A message from Superintendent Jeff Blake...

Happy Father's Day!

We look rested and ready in the picture, but I am not quite ready to share the picture I took with TJ as we climbed out the canyon 6 hours later. As I reflect on our Grand Canyon hike of 21 miles in one day, I am most humbled by each time TJ slowed down to stay in step with me. The quick glances behind him to check on me and the about face to back track and stay with his Dad is something I treasure. In fact, as we finished, TJ shared that his favorite moment was accomplishing the canyon together. I too often forget and neglect my sacred role as father. Our vocations and life’s demands encroach on the moments we are given with our children.

As Phoenix Christian Preparatory School serves over 700 students annually, I often have a front row seat to students and families in places of triumph and struggle. Each year, I am continually reminded of the powerful role of fathers in the lives of their sons and daughters. There is something special when dads are present when all is well, but there is something extraordinary with dads who exhibit an invested presence. Dads, your children need you. They are looking for your presence. They want you. They need you.

Luke 15:20: "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him."

It's that time to start shopping for polos! The French Toast website is a great option to make sure your student is looking on-brand for the start of the school year! Remember, our approved colors are Green, White, Black, Grey, and Pink.
We will also sell polos at our Launch night and in the Team Shop.

This class has shown tremendous strength, fortitude, and commitment to their studies, classmates, sport, and other extracurriculars. Earning over $1.5 million in college scholarships, athletes signing to play at the collegiate level, students going to college all around the world, the Class of 2024 is proving that hard work pays off!

As they journey on to their next destination, please join us in praying a blessing over this special class:
