ππ Meaningful Moments conclude! As we wrap up our graduation memories, we hope you enjoy hearing from seniors Dominic, Hadessah, Evan, and Adelina as their share in the traditional Senior Reminiscences.
As we close our fiscal year, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has given so generously this year. Your gifts have enabled Phoenix Christian to achieve great things for the Kingdom!
Educating our youth from a Christian worldview perspective is crucial in this ever-changing landscape. However, many families who desire a strong Christian education for their children cannot afford tuition.
That's where you come in! Would you consider making a gift to the Timothy Scholarship Fund? This fund provides families with the financial support they need to continue their education at Phoenix Christian.
Your generosity can make a significant difference. Thank you for your support! πππ

School Offices will be closed July 1-5th and will reopen July 8th. We hope you enjoy a wonderful week with your family.
ππ Meaningful Moments continue! The Carolyn Krober Music Award is presented to an outstanding senior in music. Former Principal and Development Director, Mr. Krober, and his family, established this award in honor of their daughter and three other outstanding Christian young people who were killed in a car accident coming home from a choir tour in California in 1959.
The awardee is a gifted musician and has been a vital part of the worship team for the past three years. Whether it is playing the keys, guitar, or bass, she has helped lead the student body each week at chapel into the throne of God. Congratulations to Victoria Enriquez!
ππ Meaningful Moments continue! For the very first time, the Alumni Board of Directors presented the Living Curriculum Award to a deserving alumnus and to a graduating senior. This award is defined as follows.
1. A life submitted to the ways of Jesus.
2. A life submitted to the ongoing study and application of the ways of Jesus.
3. A life whose love for others is reflective of one living out their worship in the workplace or school.
4. A life that honors the core values of Phoenix Christian.
Congratulations to graduating senior, Damariz Navarrete. Damariz embodies these characteristics beautifully. She exudes the joy of the Lord, a hunger for spiritual growth, a compassion for others and a love for her school, Phoenix Christian.
Steve Woods, Class of 1983 and Board Chairman, also shares many similar qualities. His lifelong commitment to the Lord, desire to learn and grow each day, his desire to live in community with one another as an act of worship to our Lord and his relentless and contagious LOVE for Phoenix Christian make him a worthy recipient of the Living Curriculum Award.
ππMeaningful Moments continue! Steve Woods, Class of 1983 and Chairman of the Board of Directors presented the James R. Wickersham Citizenship Award. This award is named after Mr. Wickersham who served at Phoenix Christian for 33 years. He truly represented the highest level of character and spiritual leadership. With these ideals in mind, Phoenix Christian honors one graduating senior who exemplifies these characteristics in and out of the classroom. Congratulations to Addison Fisher, recipient of the James R. Wickersham Citizenship Award.
ππ Meaningful Moments continue! Each year, the varsity coaches of Phoenix Christian nominate candidates from their program for the honor of Senior Student Athlete of the Year. These honored athletes are both multi-sport participants and recognized as outstanding individuals. Congratulations to the Class of 2024 Athletes of the Year - Jacky Vega de la Cruz and Dominic Parris.
ππMeaningful Moments continue! Anna Proskurina from Ukraine, received the International Highest Honor Award and had the opportunity to share some very wise words. Anna studied at Phoenix Christian for two years. Anna has proven herself by overcoming adversities, shown resiliency, and bravery and made the most of her time at Phoenix Christian. Congratulations Anna, we anticipate God's greatest blessings on your life.
ππMeaningful Moments continues! Next, meet Class of 2024 Salutatorian, Lilly Payan. Having graduated with 4.35 and completed an Honors Capstone Project, Lilly spent her high school career playing volleyball, participating in NHS and Student Government, and taking most of our Honors and AP courses. Lilly becomes a Duck this fall as she heads to University of Oregon to study business marketing. Congratulations Lilly, we are extremely proud of you!
This week we plan to highlight meaningful moments from our senior high graduation. First, we'd like to introduce you to the Class of 2024 Valedictorian, Alexa Garcia. Having graduated with 4.428 and completed an Honors Capstone Project, Alexa has proven herself an intelligent, passionate, and a well-spoken young woman who plans to continue her studies in pre-law at UofA. Congratulations Alexa, we are extremely proud of you! Please enjoy reading a portion of Alexa's beautiful speech.
"As we move to the next chapter of our lives, remember that you will always be led to where you are supposed to be. We will accomplish many milestones of success but also fail many times. We will all face an ever changing and ruthless world. Some of us will face it with a support system, and some of us will face completely alone. No matter, you will be forced to endure. And when you fail, because we will, remember this quote from Rachel Scott, βIt was not meant to be your blessing but if you keep looking backwards you will miss yours.β If we dwell on our failures, it will cost us the success that was meant to come from it. Graduates, show the world that we are our failures just as much as our successes. Do not be ashamed of any redirection that you will face in life. Embrace failure, rejection, and disappointment because ultimately those things are building your success, even when you cannot see it."
We are thrilled to announce the 2024 Cougar Football Varsity Schedule. Mark your calendars now! You will not want to miss a minute of Cougar Football lead by Head Coach Jason Kindred. π
ποΈAs we close our fiscal year, we NEED your partnership. Your investment to the Timothy Scholarship Fund can transform lives by providing scholarships to deserving students. Join us in shaping futures and expanding kingdom impact. πβͺ

During a sermon at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in 1957, using Matthew 5:43-45 as his text, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. emphasized that βhate for hate only intensifies the existence of hate and evil in the universe. . . . The strong person is the person who can cut off the chain of hate, the chain of evil. . . . and inject within the very structure of the universe that strong and powerful element of love.β
Today is a day to remember, a day to learn and a day to inspire:
Cougar Kids Camp is underway! During STEM week, students made solar oven and floatable boats with Mrs. Le with Little Hen Go. This week students will participate in Color Wars with color challenges each day. π§‘π₯π«

A message from Superintendent Jeff Blake...
Happy Father's Day!
We look rested and ready in the picture, but I am not quite ready to share the picture I took with TJ as we climbed out the canyon 6 hours later. As I reflect on our Grand Canyon hike of 21 miles in one day, I am most humbled by each time TJ slowed down to stay in step with me. The quick glances behind him to check on me and the about face to back track and stay with his Dad is something I treasure. In fact, as we finished, TJ shared that his favorite moment was accomplishing the canyon together. I too often forget and neglect my sacred role as father. Our vocations and lifeβs demands encroach on the moments we are given with our children.
As Phoenix Christian Preparatory School serves over 700 students annually, I often have a front row seat to students and families in places of triumph and struggle. Each year, I am continually reminded of the powerful role of fathers in the lives of their sons and daughters. There is something special when dads are present when all is well, but there is something extraordinary with dads who exhibit an invested presence. Dads, your children need you. They are looking for your presence. They want you. They need you.
Luke 15:20: "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him."
It's that time to start shopping for polos! The French Toast website is a great option to make sure your student is looking on-brand for the start of the school year! Remember, our approved colors are Green, White, Black, Grey, and Pink.
We will also sell polos at our Launch night and in the Team Shop.
π Congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2024! π

Earning over $1.5 million in college scholarships, athletes signing to play at the collegiate level, students going to college all around the world, the Class of 2024 is proving that hard work pays off!
As they journey on to their next destination, please join us in praying a blessing over this special class:
"May the Lord bless them and keep them, may His face shine upon them and be gracious to them, may the Lord turn His face towards them and give them peace." - Numbers 6:24-26
