✏️📚 Writers & Word Detectives at Work! 🔎❤️💙

There is LOTS of writing happening at John Jacobs! One of our big goals this year is to have students write every day, build their skills, and grow as writers. ✨📝

📝 Mrs. Medley’s 3rd graders are putting their thoughts on paper during a Quick Write, building confidence and fluency through daily writing practice!

🔎 Ms. Hess’s 3rd graders are becoming word detectives! They’re learning to find the base word and recognize suffixes to understand how words can change and grow. 📒✨ They’re having fun breaking words apart and building new words along the way!

We love seeing our Jags learning, writing, questioning, and growing every day! 🐆❤️💙

Mrs. Chairez’s first graders are getting right to work! 📝🐆 These Jags are practicing their handwriting skills and working hard to make those letters neat, clear, and just right! ✨

We kicked off our first big PTO event of the year with McTeachers Night! 🎉🍔

A BIG thank you to all of our JJ families who came out to enjoy dinner, play, connect, and meet some new families! ❤️💙 Our teachers always love seeing our Jags out in the wild! 🐆😂

🌟 Shoutout to our amazing PTO for hosting this fun event and helping bring our JJ community together!

🎉 And congratulations to Skyler, our lucky winner of the $25 gift card! 💰🍟

Throwing it back to Meet the Teacher Night last week when we welcomed our new Jags and welcomed our returning Jags back to campus! 📚✨ It was so much fun seeing students meet their teachers, explore their classrooms, and get ready for a brand-new school year. 🏫🎉

And now… we’ve already almost made it through our first week of school! 🙌 We’ve had such a wonderful start and are so excited for all the learning, growth, friendships, and JJ Magic ahead! ✨🐆
