Dear Families,

Free summer meals are available for children throughout the summer at select locations in our community. These meals help ensure kids continue to have access to healthy breakfasts and lunches while school is out.

Families may also qualify for SUN Bucks, a summer grocery benefit program that helps purchase food for school-aged children during the summer months.

We encourage families to learn more about local meal sites and SUN Bucks eligibility to take advantage of these helpful summer resources.

A sweet celebration for our amazing Brunson-Lee students! 💙💛

Today, our students enjoyed this incredible custom cake made with so much care, creativity, and talent by Lupe. From the beautiful fruit design to every detail throughout the presentation, this was truly a centerpiece made with heart for our school.

A huge thank you to our wonderful principal, staff, and cafeteria team for always creating special moments and memorable experiences for our students. It takes teamwork, dedication, and love to bring events like this together, and today was a beautiful example of that.

We are so proud to serve and celebrate our Brunson-Lee family. 💙✨

Last night, the Governing Board recognized Mary Leon for her dedicated service to the Balsz District since 2022. 💙

Mary’s hard work and commitment as a custodian have helped keep our campuses welcoming, clean, and safe for students and staff each day. We are grateful for the care and dedication she brought to our schools and community.

Last night, the Governing Board proudly recognized Ms. Paige Stumpf for her outstanding contributions as a Reading Interventionist at Griffith Elementary School. 💙📚

Ms. Stumpf began her journey in the district as a student teacher and has grown into a valued leader and literacy expert on campus. She is known for her deep knowledge of foundational reading instruction, her commitment to individualized student growth, and her strong collaboration with staff to support student success.

Through her dedication, leadership, and caring relationships with students and families, Ms. Stumpf continues to make a lasting impact across the Griffith community.
