When choosing a school for your children, you want them to have the best teachers possible. You want life-long, committed educators – people who entered the profession as a calling, who dedicate their lives to young people.
At Greenway, parents will find this and more.

Exxciting basketball game between the Demons and Coconino on Monday. The action was fast paced as both teams played great defense.
The game was close, but our guys came up short by a score of 31 to 27. Points were hard to come by, but the effort was huge. Once our guys get into their groove, I know that the points will start falling. It promises to be an exciting season.
How’d the freshmen and JV teams do??
They both won. The Freshmen crushed the Panthers and the JV team made a breakaway layup with five second left to win the game by two.

Key Club organized a turkey drive on campus. With the support from the staff at Greenway, they are able to raise enough turkeys for 17 families. All turkeys were donated to the St. Mary’s Food Bank.
In addition, they also purchased Thanksgiving meals (not just turkeys- all of the fixings too) for 3 of our Greenway families in need.
We are so grateful for all of the support!
Our Parent Appreciation Night was a success. We would like to thank all the families that showed up and participated in discussions with our administration on topics were designed to support them and their high school student. We also need to thank the student helpers from Student Council and Ed Professions for organizing the Kids Room during the meeting portion of the event.
The Well and Cityview Church provided the dinner for our guests and our Parent Booster Club was there to make sure things ran smoothly and helped out wherever it was needed.
Title One Coordinator, Megan Lange, was guiding our guests at the sign-in table and handed out information on how the program supports the campus and gave dinner tickets to all.
Future freshman night is this Thursday. Check your email from Mr May.
We take care of our students and each other at Greenway. We wore these shirts today as a signifier that we will continue to do so with all our heart.
Greenway Demons Sports Medicine Club supported this year's AIA State Cross Country Championships held at Cave Creek Golf course on Saturday. Nov. 4th.
Thank you to these outstanding student leaders:
As a show of gratitude, our varsity football athletes gave a special shirt to the staff member at Greenway that made them feel the most supported!
The Demon Cross Country runners successfully closed out their 2023 season. Led by State Meet medalists Emmanuel Simiyu and Alexavier Martinez, the boys finished an excellent 12th out of the Top 35 Division III teams qualifying for State.
Sophomore, Edgar Martinez scored key points along with Dylan Marquez, Nehemiah Llamas, Landen Owen and Tabian Bailey. To add, Emmanuel Simiyu’s placing earned him Second Team All-State honors.
Both of our Lady Demons, competing as individuals, also raced well on the challenging State Meet course at Cave Creek Golf Course. Victoria Skoriuchow and Lillie Dyer finished 39th and 56th respectively.

Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. This is why Greenway's Student Council organizes a quarterly blood drive on campus.
This week, 500 teachers across Arizona had wishes granted by Fiesta Bowl Charities during the group's eighth annual Palo Verde Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers Draft Day.
Greenway is lucky to announce that two of our teachers in the Science department both received a check for $2,500.00.
Ms. Linda Parrott teaches Integrated Science and Ms. Brooke Ferguson teaches Biology and Integrated Science.
They have the freedom to choose where they get to spend their classroom funds. Their plan is to purchase more lab equipment and to create more in-depth lesson plans for their students.
Fiesta Bowl Charities gave out $1.25 million to public district and charter school teachers from 73 cities and towns across the state this year.
The money was granted to teachers who asked for items like robotics kits, sensory toys, school garden supplies, art supplies, musical instruments, math manipulatives, language translating earbuds, coding equipment, books and STEM materials.

Greenway Cheer and student athletes along with Key Club volunteered their time at the Annual ALS Walk this past Saturday.
Greenway Cheer is always featured right at the start of the race as people start their walk, and our other students were spread out around the entire course giving people encouragement and cheering them on as they walk.
Great job representing and thanks go out to Spiritline Head coach, Madison MacDonald and Key Club advisor, Brooke Ferguson for chaperoning.
Ms. Bennett brings a world of knowledge to our campus, specifically to our Special Education department. She has a Masters in Psychology and attended ASU, NAU, and Ottawa Universities. She is a friendly guide to our students and enjoys watching them become independent young adults.
Good luck to our Swim teams who are competing in the State Championships today and tomorrow! A special 'thank you' to our Demon Sports photographer, Ed Naujokaitis!
Greenway Demon's Speech and Debate team competed in the Jim Fountain Classic, one of the largest tournaments of the year.
Elvedina Lakic, Rosemary James Steward, Viv Case, and Queen Lokossou competed in Congressional Debate, and then Brooke Subers and Queen Lokossou also competed for Speech in Original Spoken Word Poetry.
Queen Lokossou made it to finals in a really tough division, and came in fourth place overall! SO PROUD OF OUR TEAM!

Greenway earned an A rating by the Arizona Department of Education AGAIN!
Six Greenway High School Vocal Ensemble members traveled down to Tucson to sing in the U of A Honor Choir Festival and represented Greenway VERY well.
Not only did they learn six songs that were brand new to them only a few weeks prior, but they were also able to take a class from a professor, enjoy time with other choir students from all over the state, and perform a concert on Saturday evening.
