Attention honors students and parents! It’s time to start spreading the word about GCU Day of Giving this Thursday! The Honors College is raising funds to support next year’s Honors College student leaders through scholarships! Any amount is greatly appreciated, but a gift of $100 or more will give you the chance to give a visual shoutout at the 2025 Honors College Banquet! This shoutout can include a special message to a current honors student or alumni, words of encouragement for event attendees, a celebratory message or personal announcement, or alike. 2023 Miss Arizona is hosting a breakout session on “Compassionate Leadership” at our Next Generation Leadership Conference!

Today’s is Alex Jones, a senior film production major with a minor in animation design. If you watched GCU’s Got Talent this week, you saw Alex in action! He was responsible for creating the animated graphics that played on the big screen, in the arena lobby, and throughout the arena. He was also actively involved in filming and editing the documentary video that played during the event, in addition to being on the filming crew. Alex also animated the graphics for the Lip Sync competition last fall, along with being actively involved in shooting/editing videos that played during the event! If you see Alex around campus, be sure to congratulate him!

Happy ! Meet, Erandi Lugo Martinez.

Erandi is currently studying Forensic Science through the College of Natural Science, with a set graduation for Spring of 2024!

Congratulations on this upcoming momentous achievement! Erandi gets to call Nashville Tennessee her home as well as her Mexican origins. Within her involvements in the Honors College she has participated in Young Athena Leadership Program, Forensic Science Society Club, Professional Academic and Career Program (PAC), Grand Canyon University Forensics Research and Design Program, and the F.L.I.G.H.T Program! Specifically she is a current Young Athena Senior Ambassador!

High school students from across the valley were celebrated at the Distinguished Achievement Awards Night last week at GCU! This event was a partnership between GCU Admissions and the Honors College that recognized high performing students who were awarded an academic scholarship to attend GCU! We’re so excited for these future lopes!
