Before I was literacy trained, I taught reading with general strategies, placing blame on the students if it didn’t land. Now, as a literacy tutor, I use structured reading strategies that actually help early readers build confidence and understand what they’re reading!

My world wouldn’t keep turning without these resources!!! 🌍

Each nap time looks so different!!

Two days of the week my husband is off work so he can watch our youngest which is when I schedule my tutoring sessions and intake calls but the other three days when I’m solo I focus more on admin work that I can do while bouncing a baby 🤭

I’m excited to use this platform to show what a work from home mom can look like in this season! 💛

Mornings don’t have to be rushed and chaotic, and teaching your child literacy skills doesn’t have to be daunting and overwhelming. Mornings can be full of learning without even thinking about it!

A well-planned session sets the tone for learning that’s truly enjoyable. While every lesson is personalized to the child, their needs and interests, this shows the framework I use to keep lessons focused, engaging, and intentional.

It’s been a little quiet around here, and for a good reason…

I’ve been soaking up maternity leave and adjusting to life with our new little one. Now that things have settled, I’m slowly but surely getting back into it! These past few months have been spent snuggling, adjusting and establishing a new routine as a family of 4, while easing back into work 💗
