We use the Jolly Phonics program to help our students develop phonemic awareness and pre-literacy skills. The /s/ sound was practiced with read alouds, the Jolly Song and lots of hands on activities to reinforce how to say, recognize and write the sound. Stupendous!

Our KinderPrep friends enjoyed a hands on activity to learn about the digestive system. They were able to churn food and liquids in the “stomach” and then see how the food passed through the “intestines” before exiting the body as waste. They also learned the /s/ sound and numeral zero 0️⃣ and practiced tracing and naming shapes. Indoor recess was a blast as well!
