Ready, Set, Succeed! The 2023-24 school year is right around the corner and it's going to be amazing! Join us tonight for Meet the Teacher Night from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm across the entire district.

So much is happening around Westwind Elementary School as we get ready for students to return on August 2! For example, the solar panel installation is nearly complete, parking lots have been resealed and striped, the Westwind fields are getting sprinklers, sod, bleachers, and hardscape, woodchips on the playground have been replenished, and the gym floor has been refinished.

Act One visited Westwind's 5th graders to take them on a virtual reality trip to Chicago and Tucson to explore how Mexican American art is represented in different forms. Following the VR lessons, students had conversations about different art styles they liked, learned a few new ones from each other, and what they could create themselves.

Congratulations to all of our WW students for participating in the Track & Field Meet on Saturday. We're proud of you.

We are excited to welcome families to the 2022 Fall Festival and Color Fun Event on October 29th, 2022! The Event will be held at the Pendergast Community Center and gates open at 9am. The $3 ticket per person includes admission, a T-shirt, color fun & a prize drawing ticket. Concessions & additional activities will be available for nominal cost. Pendergast Elementary School District is offering TWO opportunities to participate in the Virtual Learning Design Community Forum for our staff, students, families and the community. Just a Reminder: Parent / Teacher / Conferences October 7th , 8th, 9th. Report Cards. Please meet with your child's teacher through Zoom or by telephone next week. Your child's grade level academics is very important. Our Teachers need a partnership with all their student's parents.
