Phenomenal learning is happening every day at LCK! 💚

Our Coyotes are learning far beyond the pages of a textbook! From gardening and exploring careers in ecology, to collaborating in math to problem-solve and make their thinking visible, our students are actively engaged in their learning. In science, students are moving through hands-on stations, investigating, gathering evidence, asking questions, and making connections to the world around them.

This is what learning looks like at LCK—curious minds, meaningful conversations, hands-on experiences, and students doing the thinking!

Today was all about learning from one another!

During today’s professional development, our amazing Team Leads—Ms. Layshock, Ms. Remigio, and Ms. Larkin—stepped into the role of teacher leaders and shared their knowledge and expertise with our staff.

Our teachers had the opportunity to choose their learning and deepen their instructional practices through:
✏️ Writing Workshop & Grammar Walls
📚 Verb Tense Studies
➗ Expanding the use of manipulatives to strengthen conceptual understanding in Math

One of the greatest strengths of LCK is the talent we have right here on our own campus. We are so fortunate to have teachers who are willing to learn, share, collaborate, and help one another grow.

When our teachers grow, our students grow!

Our first Coyote of the Month Assembly of the year!

Today we celebrated some AMAZING Coyotes who showed us what it means to be SAFE throughout the month of August!

We are so proud of our students who consistently made safe choices, looked out for others, and helped make LCK a safe and welcoming place to learn. We also celebrated our Teacher of the Month, Ms. Tapia, for going above and beyond to keep our Coyotes safe!
