We are thrilled to honor our fall 2024 outstanding graduate for the School of Public Affairs, Nicole Caceres. Nicole returned to college following the heartbreaking loss of her 24-year-old son to a fentanyl overdose in 2020. She wanted to study public policy and how it could help prevent other lives lost to addiction. She has also founded a nonprofit in memory of her son called Love LeB, which is part of the fight against fentanyl abuse. Read her inspiring story here → https://bit.ly/4iJraHZ

Happy Veterans Day! Today we honor all military veterans of the United States Armed Forces and thank them for protecting our freedom. In observation of this holiday, classes are excused and the university is closed.

Join us for a private tour of the Army National Guard base as part of ASU’s Salute to Service Week! Students will have the opportunity to tour the State Emergency Operations Center and learn from both military and civilian leaders about their experience with cross-sector leadership. Complimentary bus transportation will be provided from both the Downtown Phoenix and Tempe campuses. Donald Siegel, principal investigator, foundation professor and co-executive director, along with his Co-PI's, Professor David Waldman and Associate Professor Maribel Guerrero, has received approval from the Arizona Board of Regents for a $1.5 million Technology and Research Initiative Fund grant. The grant will support their collaborative project with U of A and NAU at the Global Center for Technology Transfer.
