Rollins’ class trips, shows, competitions, and just awesome art!!! Phoenix HS Art Club ventures out overseas once every other year.

The gift of travel opens up a world of opportunities. When students venture abroad with their teacher on an educational tour, they discover exciting cities and unique sights. They taste foods they never thought they'd try and experience local traditions first hand. They come back with a greater awareness of other cultures- and a new appreciation of thier own. Students also have the opportunity for several local trips and competitions throughout the year.

I’m very grateful to received these today 💕.

To the staff members who made sure these notes finally reached me: thank you. You may never know how much that simple act of kindness meant.

And to my students: you were always the reason. The art mattered. The murals, awards, AP portfolios, and accomplishments mattered. But none of it mattered as much as the people standing behind that work.

Watching you find your voices, believe in yourselves, and become the people you are today was the greatest privilege of my 23 years in the classroom.

These notes may have reached me late, but they reminded me of something I will carry with me forever:

What we created together mattered. And so did every one of you. ❤️ Have a wonderful year 🥰.

I love getting updates about how my past students are doing! 💕. This young lady also designed the OHSET’s Southern District logo when she was in HS!!!!

I’ve been hearing so much excitement from my students this summer!

It looks like we had a strong showing in AP Drawing last year, with many students earning 4s. Considering the national average is around 3.4 and the state average is usually slightly lower, this is a meaningful accomplishment.

We are proud to share that our very own, Talula! She is one of the winners of the 2026 Community Art Contest, held each year by the City of Medford! This year, there were 43 submissions from area high schools, and Talula was 1 of 4 to be selected as a winner! Each winner receives a $1000 cash prize, and their artwork will be displayed in City Hall!
