NCAA Women's Soccer: Notre Dame 4, Pitt 1 (FT).

Yeah, Notre Dame has a bunch of draws in the out of conference portion of the schedule, but the Irish are handling business in the ACC portion. Another win for Notre Dame who is vying for the top spot in the conference.

NCAA Women's Soccer: North Carolina 1, Clemson 0 (FT).

North Carolina again handles business on the road. That UNC-FSU match must be rescheduled, could be a preview of the ACC Tournament Championship and potentially a NCAA Tournament or College Cup meeting.

But UNC handling business and a clear #1 right now.

NCAA Women's Soccer: Alabama 3, Georgia 0 (FT).

Alabama is one of those teams to mark as a darkhorse to reach the College Cup. Great team who has been handling business all year. Sans two upset losses (Harvard at home, Florida on the road) they have been solid.

Beware of Alabama in those NCAA Tournament brackets.

NCAA Women's Soccer: Florida State 2, Wake Forest 0 (FT).

Massive road win for Florida State, the defending national champions go to Winston-Salem and remind the rest of the country (and the ACC) that this living dynasty is nowhere close to being over. Winning at Clemson was awesome, but handing Wake Forest their first home loss of the year was immaculate.

Florida State jumps up big time in the RPI and now will be in the thick of the ACC Tournament race. Pretty much the Seminoles are about to be a lock for the NCAA Tournament as well (27 straight seasons uploading).

Hell of road win, now time to win again at Pitt on Sunday.

NCAA Women's Soccer: Vanderbilt 3, Florida 0 (FT).

Vanderbilt with three first half goals from Courtney Jones (37'), Sydney Watts (37"), and Victoria Pugh (42') as the Gators fall in Nashville. Would have been a huge RPI boost, but Vanderbilt showing they're the class of the SEC right now.

Florida (6-5-3. 2-3-2) will take on Arkansas on Sunday in Fayetteville.

BRING IT ON, FOLKS.

I am a full proponent and support the 24-team College Football Playoff format and wish they would just remove the bowls from the playoffs and let them be on campus games all the way until the CFP National Championship (which should be neutral site, like the Super Bowl).

I would keep the major bowls, but let teams outside the CFP play in those games and if other bowls want to stay then let the teams play in them as well.

More games, more action.

Sign me up for this deal.

Per ESPN, this deal is about to be done for the 2027 season.

Florida State-Georgia Tech Volleyball match at Tully Gym has been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 3rd. It was postponed due to Hurricane Isaias but now has a new scheduled date.

Florida State 82, Auburn 71 (exhibition)

Yes, I understand this game does not count since it's an exhibition game. But you would be foolish to dismiss how good this Florida State team looked in an 82-71 win over Auburn at Boutwell on Wednesday night.

Luke Loucks has a roster at Florida State that is going to contend in the ACC and very well should make some noise in the NCAA's next year.

Marcis Ponder is going to be a beast on the boards and Kam Taylor can ball. This FSU team resembles the teams from 2009-2012 and 2017-2021. Welcome back to the big time, FSU.

NCAA Men's Basketball: Florida State 82, Auburn 71 (Exhibition)

Game won't count, but a hell of a showing by Florida State in Birmingham, defeating the defending Men's NIT champions 82-71 at Boutwell Auditorium. Good sign for a team that caught fire last year in the second half of the season, Florida State could do some serious damage this year.

ESPN FPI gives Wake Forest a 79.8% chance to beat California on October 17. Agree or disagree?

Agree with ESPN here. Wake Forest starting to catch fire and expect the Demon Deacons to go across the country and handle business against Cal on Saturday after dark on ESPN2. Wake Forest should be pretty good this season and only a home loss to Miami.
