Senior Spotlight: Brayden 🎹
Congratulations to Brayden on his upcoming graduation from Desert Vista High School! Over the past seven and a half years, Brayden has studied piano with Ms. Cindy, showing dedication, consistency, and a lasting love for music throughout his journey at Music Maker Workshops.
During his time at MMW, Brayden has continued to grow as a pianist while building skills and confidence through years of hard work and practice. His musical journey reflects the impact that passion and perseverance can have over time.
As he looks ahead to the future, Brayden plans to continue making music simply for the joy of it — keeping piano and creativity as an important part of his life even after graduation.

Senior Spotlight: Sarah 🎶
Congratulations to Sarah on her upcoming graduation! Sarah has dedicated years to developing her musical talents, singing for the past four years and playing trombone for an impressive eight years.
One of her favorite musical memories was performing at band regionals — an exciting and rewarding experience that highlighted her hard work and passion for music. For newer music students, Sarah encourages them to keep their practice sessions enjoyable and fun, reminding everyone that loving the process is an important part of growing as a musician.
After graduation, Sarah will be heading to Bates College in Maine to study Politics before pursuing law school in the future. Reflecting on her time at Music Maker Workshops, Sarah shared that MMW helped her gain a deeper understanding of music theory and how to apply it to both trombone and singing.
Although her future studies will focus on politics and law, music will still remain an important part of Sarah’s life, and she plans to continue making music for fun after graduation.

Senior Spotlight: Nathan🎶
Congratulations to Nathan on his upcoming graduation! Nathan has spent the past six years developing his vocal talents and has also played guitar for nearly ten years, building a strong foundation as a well-rounded musician and performer.
One of Nathan’s favorite musical memories has come from reflecting on his growth during recent voice lessons. Looking back at the very first songs he worked on, he’s been able to see just how far he has come as a singer — a rewarding reminder of the power of dedication and persistence.
For future music students, Nathan shares this thoughtful advice: “Practice will make you better, but only perfect practice makes perfect. Practice how you want to perform.” His commitment to intentional practice has helped him continue growing both technically and artistically.
After graduation, Nathan plans to pursue Musical Theatre in college, where he hopes to continue developing both his singing and acting skills. Reflecting on his time at Music Maker Workshops, Nathan shared that MMW helped him flourish as a singer and gave him the confidence to fully embrace his voice and abilities as a performer.
Music and performance will absolutely remain part of Nathan’s future, and he plans to continue singing throughout college and beyond.

Senior Spotlight: Darius 🎸
Congratulations to Darius on his upcoming graduation! Although he only began playing electric guitar earlier this year, Darius began his musical journey in MMW's Kindermusik classes where he developed a strong passion for music. He has also studied piano through Music Maker Workshops, continuing to grow his musical skills over time.
One of Darius’s favorite musical memories was getting his guitar from Guitar Center and immediately playing it for three hours straight — a moment that sparked even more excitement for his musical journey.
For new music students, Darius offers this advice: “Make sure you practice regularly and that you enjoy the songs you are working on!” He believes that finding joy in the music you play is one of the best ways to stay motivated and continue improving.
After graduation, Darius plans to attend Arizona State University to study Electrical Engineering. Reflecting on his experience at MMW, he shared that the supportive teachers helped him discover his passion for music and showed him how playing instruments can both challenge your brain and be a fun, rewarding hobby.
Music will definitely continue to be part of Darius’s future. He plans to keep developing his guitar skills throughout the summer and beyond as he continues exploring his love for music.

Senior Spotlight: Porter🎶
Congratulations to Porter on his upcoming graduation! Porter’s musical journey with Music Maker Workshops began nearly ten years ago at a summer camp, and since then he has explored singing, guitar, and bass while continuing to grow as a performer through weekly voice lessons and theatre productions around the valley.
One of Porter’s favorite musical memories was performing at the MMW Honors Recital, an experience he describes as both an honor and unforgettable. He also loves being involved in musical theatre and sharing his passion for performance on stage.
For students beginning their own musical journeys, Porter encourages them to explore as much as possible: “Try a bunch of different stuff and decide what you love. Be patient and work hard.” His willingness to pursue different opportunities has helped shape both his musicianship and confidence as a performer.
Porter is graduating from the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) and hopes to eventually start his own business specializing in custom automotive paint jobs. In the meantime, he plans to work at a local body shop while continuing to stay active in community theatre. You can also find him working at Dutch Bros right next to MMW!
Reflecting on his experience at MMW, Porter shared that it inspired him to pursue more performance opportunities and helped him discover how much he truly loves singing and performing. Music will absolutely remain a major part of his future, as he plans to continue voice lessons and stay involved in musical theatre productions throughout the valley.
We are so proud of you, Porter, and can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead for you both on and off the stage!

Congratulations to Christa on her upcoming graduation! Over the past year, Christa has been learning both piano and violin, embracing the joy of music and growing quickly as a musician.
One of her favorite memories at Music Maker Workshops was performing a duet recital with Romy — a special experience that made her musical journey even more meaningful. For new music students, Christa encourages them to have fun while learning and to play songs they already know and love, making practice both enjoyable and motivating.
Reflecting on her time at MMW, Christa shared how much her teachers helped her grow by teaching valuable techniques and helping her adapt quickly to both of her instruments. Their support has helped build a strong foundation for her continued musical journey.
While Christa is still exploring her plans after graduation, she knows music will remain an important part of her life. She hopes to continue learning and playing piano and violin, and one day would love to play music for her church.

Congratulations to Sagar on his upcoming graduation! For the past six years, Sagar has been dedicated to learning and growing as a pianist, developing both his musical abilities and confidence along the way.
One of his favorite musical memories was performing in his very first recital in 2021 — an exciting milestone that marked the beginning of many accomplishments to come. Reflecting on his journey, Sagar encourages newer music students to challenge themselves and step outside of their comfort zones, sharing this advice: “Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself, you may be surprised at what you can do.”
After graduation, Sagar plans to attend Arizona State University to study Politics. Looking back on his experience at Music Maker Workshops, he shared that MMW helped take his musical education to heights he never imagined while also helping him grow confidence in his own abilities.
Music will continue to play an important role in Sagar’s future. He is certain that he will continue playing piano after high school and is even considering learning new instruments along the way.

Senior Spotlight: Aarush 🎶
Congratulations to Aarush on his upcoming graduation! An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Aarush has been playing piano for 11 years and cello for 8 years, dedicating years of hard work and passion to his musical growth.
One of his most cherished musical memories was performing the powerful fourth movement of Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World,” with the youth symphony — an unforgettable experience that reflects both his talent and love for orchestral music.
For newer music students, Aarush shares an important piece of advice: while learning to read sheet music is essential, developing the ability to play by ear can be just as valuable. Strengthening listening skills alongside reading has played a major role in his own musical journey.
After graduation, Aarush plans to attend Arizona State University to study Electrical Engineering. Reflecting on his time at Music Maker Workshops, he shared that MMW gave him the opportunity to collaborate with other talented musicians and form chamber ensembles, helping him grow both musically and personally.
Although he’ll be pursuing engineering, music will continue to be an important part of his life. Aarush plans to audition for and join a local or university orchestra in the future, continuing his musical journey for years to come.

Congratulations to Elisa on her upcoming graduation! Over the past year, Elisa has been honing her skills on both the flute and ukulele, growing not only as a musician, but also in confidence and passion for music along the way.
One of her favorite memories at Music Maker Workshops was performing in her very first recital with Dani — a moment she’ll always cherish. Elisa encourages new music students to “not be hard on yourself and keep trying,” a reminder that growth comes with patience and persistence.
After graduation, Elisa hopes to pursue a career as a seamstress while continuing her musical journey by learning and growing on both flute and ukulele. She shared that her experience at MMW has helped her develop a deeper love and appreciation for music, and we are so excited to see where her creativity and talent take her next.
