This is what perseverance looks like 💪👏 Starting grad school at 52, juggling 12-hour workdays, and still finishing strong. What an inspiration! Thank you for reminding us that it’s never too late, especially with the right support. Hooty Hoo, indeed! 🦉
Cheers to all the adult students out there making it happen 🎓👏 and shoutout to Western Governors University for being a true champion of second chances and lifelong learning! 🦉💙
"I tried twice (unsuccessfully) to do grad school while my children were young. At the age of 52, I decided to start and finish grad school. My daughter received her master's in education last spring and that motivated me to get my degree. I juggled working 12 hours days and going to school at the same time. WGU gave me an experience that was full of support, encouragement and resources to succeed. I am a Night Owl for life. Hooty Hoo!!"
Barbara E. proved that it's #NeverTooLate, earning her MBA from WGU! Her determination, perseverance, and commitment to lifelong learning are truly inspiring. Welcome to the WGU alumni family, Barbara — we’re so proud of you! 💙🦉

We are so proud! Celebrate your achievements, you deserve it. Shoutout to UAGC - The University of Arizona Global Campus for supporting their students in their journey 🥳🎓
"Prior to June 2022, I never took one college course. After being passed up on positions for not having a degree but having all the experience, I decided to go back to school and earn my degree in accounting. Halfway through, I decided I also wanted a degree in business administration. I had many sleepless nights doing classwork. There were many nights where I cried because I was so tired. It took a lot of wine and pep talks from my wonderful husband telling me, ‘You got this.’
I want to thank my daughter-in-law Asia Garris, who is also a student at UAGC, for getting me started and walking me through every process from admissions to financial aid because I was clueless. I want to thank my friends for putting up with me when I said I had schoolwork every time they wanted to hang out. Lastly, I want to thank my mom and my children because every time they called me and asked what I was doing, I would say ‘schoolwork.’ We would even be on family vacation, and I would have my laptop in tow doing work.
For the past two and a half years, school has been my life, and it was worth it all. I have graduated with the highest honors, Summa Cum Laude, with a BA in Accounting and a BA in Business Administration*. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me because I know there is greater!" – Tangulia Dansby
