Join the BC Phoenix Chapter next Thursday for the annual Christmas Happy Hour! We'll gather at the patio at Rita's Cantina & Bar at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn to celebrate the season and look forward to 2026. Enjoy the convenient parking at Camelback inn and head in the main entrance and go straight ahead (past Starbucks and Rita's inside seating) through the doors and out to the patio. Like last year, we plan to go outside to the patio to take in the mountain views, live music and the forecasted mild weather. Join us for a drink or stay a while and enjoy a meal. Either is great, we just want to get together with other Eagles and friends. As always, friends and family are more than welcome. BC comes home to a sold-out Alumni Stadium looking to turn things around on the season with a win over Clemson. The Eagles will pin their hopes on sophomore quarterback Dylan Lonergan (nine touchdown passes and top-40 nationally in passing yards) and the possible return of several players who were injured and missed last week's ugly loss at Pitt. Clemson is 2-3 following a win over North Carolina last weekend.

Come join the BC Chapter to watch the game at R.T. O'Sullivan's in Scottsdale! Please note this gamewatch will be at the Scottsdale location of R.T. O'Sullivan's, and not the Phoenix location. R.T.'s will have the game on multiple TV screens with audio and will have food specials available for the late afternoon kickoff. BC football vs. Fordham

BC football kicks off the 2025 season with a home game against the Fordham Rams. The Eagles are led by second-year coach Bill O'Brien, the former head coach of Penn State and the NFL's Houston Texans and a long-time assistant with the New England Patriots under Bill Belichik. On the field the Eagles will look to new quarterback Dylan Lonergan, a transfer from Alabama, and senior wide receiver Lewis Bond, as well as a group of returnees in the defensive secondary, to lead the way. This matchup will be BC's 28th all-time game against Fordham, but its first in 71 years after the fellow Jesuit university dropped football for more than three decades.

Come join the BC Phoenix Chapter to watch this season-opening game at the new RT O'Sullivan's location in Phoenix. Most of you will remember the location as the old site of Gallaghers, where the chapter held gamewatches for many years. (Yes, it is kind confusing, so just make sure you go to the Phoenix location of RT O'Sullivan's on 16th Street between Glendale and Northern.) RTO's will have food and drink specials and this streaming-only game on multiple TVs with audio. Yes, you read that right...R.T. O'Sullivan's has moved into the old Gallagher's location on 16th Street in Phoenix, and the BC Phoenix Chapter will check out the new place for this Saturday's gamewatch! BC has a chance to win eight games for the first time since 2009 when the Eagles take on Nebraska in the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium in New York City. The Eagles closed the season strong under new quarterback Grayson James, winning 3 of their final four games. BC will try to keep the momentum going into the offseason by getting a win over the Cornhuskers in the first-ever meeting between the two schools. R.T. O'Sullivan's will have the game on multiple TVs with audio, and will feature food and drink specials for this morning game. Join everyone as we close out 2024! Alumni from the Class of 1967 to 2022 (and everything in between) enjoyed a warm Arizona night on the patio at Camelback Inn last week for the annual Christmas Happy Hour. We welcomed some new friends and many familiar faces and especially enjoyed the return of Chapter Leader Emeritus Marty Ridge and his wife, Lynda. Merry Christmas to everyone!

BC blew out North Carolina last week to get to 6-5 on the season and clinch bowl eligibility, but now the Eagles can work their way up in the bowl pecking order when they take on Pittsburgh in the final regular season game of 2024. Quarterback Grayson James and running back Kye Robichaux teamed up with a stellar BC defense to help BC build a 41-7 lead over North Carolina before the Tar Heels got a couple late scores. The Eagles have now won two of the three games since they made a change at quarterback and will look to end the regular season on a high note. Come join the Phoenix Chapter of the BC Alumni at R.T. O'Sullivan's for the game. R.T. O'Sullivan's will have food and drink specials in effect and have the game on multiple TV screens. The ASU-U of A game and other major games at that time will also be on adjacent TVs for those who want to maximize their football viewing this week. BC comes home to play North Carolina needing just one win to secure bowl eligibility for the 2024 season. After a rocky week in which quarterback Thomas Castellanos was benched and then decided to quit the team, the Eagles took ACC leader SMU to the wire on the road before falling, 38-28. BC will try to bounce back with new quarterback Grayson James and a solid rushing attack that fared well against SMU's tough run defense and carved up Syracuse two weeks ago. BC will look to bounce back against Michigan State a week after suffering its first loss of the season. The Eagles watched an early lead slip away last week before falling to top-10 ranked Missouri, 27-21. BC will face another challenge this week as Michigan State comes to Chestnut Hill with a 3-0 record and a win over Maryland. Alumni Stadium is sold out for this nighttime matchup against a tough Big 10 opponent. The game is also BC's annual Red Bandanna Game honoring BC graduate Welles Crowther, who lost his own life while saving the lives of a dozen people during the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. BC shut down Florida State and then routed Duquesne to get to 2-0 and make the first appearance for the school in the AP Top 25 since 2018. But Bill O'Brien's Eagles will face arguably the toughest game on the schedule this week when they travel to Columbia, Missouri to take on the #6 Missouri Tigers out of the SEC. Last year Missouri went 11-2 (6-2 SEC) and subdued Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl to finish #8 in the final poll of the season. The Tigers return the core of that team in 2024, including receiver Luther Burden, who will potentially be the top wideout selected in the next NFL draft.
