Dr. Lisa - The Vet Helping You Keep Your Furry Family Healthy

When I was four years old, I set my sights on becoming a vet. Why, one might ask, did I have such a clear goal at such an early age? One simple answer.

My pets were always there for me. Now, I share experiences as a vet to help pets everywhere.

We need help!

As most know we are undergoing a renovation. Part of this process is renovating our old kennel doors and refreshing the inside of our kennels. This is SO NEEDED. But this means we have to close blocks of kennels at a time for construction. We already lost our entire intake building.. that was 18 kennels. Now we have lost another 10 today…tomorrow another 10 and Monday another 10...

Because of this we have to drop the partition doors and house dogs in just half of a kennel.. outside… while they have shelter, ice, water and fortunately the triple digits have broken. The dogs are now living in EVEN LESS space than before. We anticipate this process to take 9-21 days. Then they will move on to the second half of the building and then to our 2nd building! We are in the hardest part of the renovation so far! So if you can foster even for just a few weeks PLEASE come in!

If you can foster, adopt, volunteer and network out posts you are saving lives!

Please come in and offer to take these pups on field trips to get them! Come in to public dog walks everyday 6am-9am and be the best part of a shelter dogs day!

Did you know we are always looking for volunteers to just hang out with our more timid dogs in their kennels? 🐶

This is a great opportunity for anyone that would like to help but isn’t interested in physically demanding activities, such as dog walking, cleaning, etc. Just come sit with a scared shelter dog! Take a seat, grab a good book, answer some emails, or catch up on an episode of your favorite show while intermittently tossing treats and watch these scared babies transform! ❤️

You would truly be saving a life by just being good company! 🐾 Visit us during our drop-in volunteer hours, everyday, from 6am-9am, to start your volunteer journey. During public volunteer hours you can help with dog walking, dog socializing, cleaning, or anything else we need help with! All you have to do is just show up and be at least 16 years old. Email any questions in regards to volunteering to animalvolunteer@pinal.gov 🐈

Duke (A272488) here would love to keep his progression going in a home! Duke is available for adoption, foster, and rescue! Duke came from a huge hoarding situation, so he understandably timid. Many of Duke’s family from the hoarding case are also in need of placement. If you can help, let us know! Email animalrescue@pinal.gov or message us here!

Want to help but can’t physically make it out to the shelter? We are always accepting pepperoni donations! These yummy treats help us with dogs like Duke and many others! Donations can be dropped off or sent to Pinal County Animal Care & Control at 1150 S Eleven Mile Corner Rd, Casa Grande, AZ 85194. ❤️ 08/01/2024

My dog rescue dog Rocky is part of the naughty club. His recent conquest was a spoiled cream cheese tub I threw out. Counting calories is out the window with his food obsession.
